In Neo Dreams
El Hyphen Thoughts

Dumb posts are real
Unless the user's blocked

In Neo Dreams
Trolling is the plot
Carried wings of shitposts

Each of our peens
Intertwine when we do

Instantly we see it
The time for raise our boners
When everything is pinned on aesholes

Let rise the collections of retards
Walls of shelf candy
Never being played

Free to post anything online
Only when olds
Troll dumb goobers as one
I just want to say thank you for this. Thank you and nothing more. This made my week.

I wonder if this will affect the value of the SCD and PS1 versions of the games.
It might actually increase. The original, complete games may find a resurgence of purchasing on sleazebay.

You wanna sell me on a great Strat RPG? Remake Dragon Force from the Sega Saturn.

Fuck it I'll go all the way. Remake all 3 Shining Force III games and finally release the last two chapters in the U.S. Shining the Holy Ark also cuz why the fuck not.

Is this a true story?
I want to say this is 85% legit. A lot of Software companies back in the day had terrible management of their IPs. I've heard many a story of source codes for older games forever being lost. I would wager to hope that somewhere out there a Saturn Dev kit is laying around with the source code for that game just waiting to be found.

A guy on TNL named Haohmaru who I think posts here also recounted some stories about being contacted by Sega because he was a guy who literally had a collection of rare & obscure arcade boards from ages ago that Sega had lost the original code to. The thing about PDS is I would wager that Sega would love to have the old source code since I'm sure they themselves realize just how much a copy of the game itself goes for these days.

I'll text him today and see if he can get me pics of the disks. They are the JP original translation. The prototype of the English release, and its source code, I don't believe have ever been found.

I just read up a bit on it myself and unless they're lying to maintain the rarity of the game, then they legit don't have the source code and they'd have to rebuild it from the ground up. Especially since Saturn emulation is, according to them, very difficult (and I have no reason to doubt that.)

They said that it would be a risky investment, which it absolutely would be. Panzer Dragoon is such a niche franchise that it would not recoup the investment costs unless it was the next big thing. Sega has never produced 'the next big thing'. Nothing they made has, to my knowledge, ever been the popular of its kind in any genre of game. They make some damn good games, though. Valkyria Chronicles was dope AF and VC 4 was just as good but even those games are niche.

I'd take a remaster of Skies of Arcadia too. Preferably the one on the Gamecube with the exxtra content.

Two words: Carbon Engine. I forget the guy's name that's involved with that endeavor but, supposedly, reprogrammed several games from the ground up himself and released them via Limited Run, love or hate them. A project like that might be right up his alley.

I did hear back from my friend, looking for pictures of the games as we speak. Unfortunately, the actual disks were acquired by his ex in a divorce settlement so, no way for him to retrieve them for the community.

Can gladly vouch for everything that Jon referred to above. On several past occasions, I've personally met & spoken w/ his local entrepreneur friend whom had owned the Japanese "Azel RPG" prototype physical media from 1997.

My switch is quickly becoming a port/remaster machine, which I'll take since I'd rather play those longer PS1 we RPGs portable.

I don't understand what people are excited about. Just fire up the Sega CD or Saturn if you want to play Lunar. If you don't have those machines, use your favorite emulator.

Maybe they're just happy to see a game they love getting attention?

I mean... buying a Sega CD for that isn't something I'd suggest Alec. The PS1 versions would be better I think if you want to grab em or just wait for this collection and pay a lot less.
