First trailer for this game came out this weekend, and it's looking very promising. The graphics are very well done and convinces me that this was a legit SNES release circa 1993/1994.

It's a work in progress but I'm hoping they fix a few things:

-HUD is excessively big. We don't need the 3 hearts to be THAT huge, do we? I'm afraid it will obscure enemies coming from the upper left hand corner, which could lead to annoying hits.
-Invincibility lasts way too short after being hit. That could lead to some cheap frustrating moments. Hope they increase this by a second.
-Jumping seems a bit erratic. Hope they tighten it up a bit more.

Other than that, I can't wait to play the final product!

Note: It's scheduled for a first quarter 2016 release and was a successful IndieGoGo campaign ($23K+) that ended back in January 2015.

Maybe I'm just getting old, or too cynical or something, but I really don't care about this.

This strikes me as a game that I would have completely ignored back when the SNES was current and the only reason it's getting attention now is because the SNES is dead and it's 2015.

I dunno, looks interesting. If they nail the controls it could be fun.

Why is Akklaim being mentioned? Is this a found game or do these guys trying to impersonate them (which, if it's not MK2, it's not something I would do)

Not a found game. This is a game Collectorvision has built from the ground up. They simply got the rights to use the Akklaim name... which, why, I dunno... since Akklaim isn't exactly associated with quality typically from the 16-bit era.

It reminds me of Mr. Nutz meets Rick Dangerous. It started out as a Rick Dangerous clone, but feedback pushed the developer to change it into an "entirely new game." I definitely prefer this style over its original bare bones Rick Dangerous clone. It looks very good, and I just hope they nail the gameplay down. The mechanical fish reminds me of an enemy you would see from a Mega Man water stage. Of all the homebrew SNES games I've seen over the years, this one definitely looks the most legit.

Definitely has potential to be fun and decent. Ammo is limited so I like that you can't just go in guns blazing. I typically enjoy difficult platforming games where you must conserve ammo. Beating them always feels satisfying since you can't just mash on the attack button.

It looks bright colorful and interesting, especially the water levels. Reminds me of if Conker was on SNES. I only wish they used in game music and SFX for the trailer instead of the rock song, that would have made me very excited for it

This doesn't look bad, although controls may need work. Reminds me of quite a few games I had zero interest in, but once I played, got hooked

Based off the title name alone I have zero interest in this

Games like this were a dime a dozen back then. I'm all for retro-tribute games as long as they're good, like Shovel Knight, but this is just bad. This should be an exclusive launch title for that stupid cart console those jackasses are making.

Seriously. If this game came out back in '93 I probably rode my huffy all over it and then beat up my parents for buying it for me

Is it just on my end, or is that video extremely choppy? I mean, if you're showing off a SNES platformer, which are generally known for running smooth, why use a video like that? I honestly can't tell if the jumps are wonky or if it's just the video skipping.

It's not just you, the frame rate is terrible.

I thought maybe my Flash was out of date. Is that seriously just how the video is? Holy hell.

Looks like it could be a decent game but at the same time it could be trash.

I would skateboard over it with my Nash fishtail.

It doesn't look too bad. Colors are good?

The graphics look pretty decent. The gameplay looks nothing more than meh. This game looks to do nothing unique; another one of those dime a dozen platformers.

The camera/jumping is wonky. They need to fix that. Right now it reminds me of Bubsy/Oscar in terms of herky jerky.

Collectorvision is also making this game Sydney Hunter and the Caverns of Death:

It had a highly successful Kickstarter campaign but I chose not to support Sydney... take a look at it; compared to Justice Beaver it looks extremely minimal. It's made by the same company, too.

If they can fix that control/scrolling/jumping, JB has a chance to be decent fun. Maybe nothing special, but a nice little piece of homebrew gaming.
