NGH, MVS, even NGP and NGPC if you want... eh, throw in NGCD too I guess.

Feels like forever ago now but the very first MVS game I ever owned was World Heroes 2, played it on the surfboard MV-1 model. Honestly I think it is still a great game. It's like the first, still has deathmatch mode but has new characters and new stages added. no, I don't own that loose MVS WH2 cart anymore, though I do have it complete in box on NGH.

As for my first NGH cart, also forever ago, pretty sure that was NAM-1975, purchased from someone on this very forum. Somehow today I still own that same beat up old former rental copy. Anyone here remember Home Entertainment Showplace? Still a fun game, hard to believe it never received any kind of update, not a sequel or a clone.

Also, yes this is an uncensored NAM-1975.

First cart I ever owned was World Heroes, but also King of the Monsters. Both came with a Neo when I bought it.

For $160. No sticks tho. Came with 2 CD pads.

Sure, it was gimped compared to the arcade at Pizza Hut, but I sure loved it.

Jpn KOF94 and World Heroes 2, AES. Came with the system I bought in 1997.

To this day KOF94 is an absolute favorite of mine. I was absolutely blown away by it in 97.

Ironically enough, this was in fact the first NG game i ever owned. Once I got into MVS collecting, i think the first few carts i got as a bundle were sam sho, fatal fury, and world heroes. Then it was downhill from there.

Also, Genesis FF2 is a lot of fun

In the order that I got them:

NGPC: Sam Shodown 2!
Home system: Sam Shodown 1 and 2, Fatal Fury 2 and Special (got them all from the same dude on here)
MVS: Metal Slug and Aero Fighters 2
CD: I don't remember, probably one of the earlier SS games or Fatal Fury Special

I bought a poorly converted cab with a one slot and it came with 6 games, Metal Slug, Metal SLug 2, Kof 94, Kof 96, & boots of Puzzle Bobble & Super Dodge Ball. Eventually sold that cab back to the guy I bought it from and gave him back only Puzzle Bobble & gifted Super Dodgeball to my brother.

I remember my first MVS was purchased on Ebay for $450, shipped via Forward Air for $90. It was a conversion into a dynamo cab. This was probably 99 or 2000. Came with a 1 slot and Samurai Shodown 3. Still my least favorite SS.

After I got my first MVS with RBFF2 and Waku Waku 7, this was my first haul in 1999 for $130, I still have all of these carts. Back then a lot of the new-ish MVS games I bought came down in price before later coming back up.

My first Neo cart was Soccer Brawl, the place I bought my homecart system had four or five games on offer, SB was the cheapest and I liked it so it went home with me.

My NGPC came with like 30 carts.

My Neo CD came with Fatal Fury 3 and Samurai Shodown II.

My MVS came with a bunch of carts too.

AoF 1 & 2, WH 1 & 2 AES JP, along with the console and 2 sticks.
But the first SNK game cart I owned was a US SNES copy of Fatal Fury, such a cool lame game... Now I think of it, it may be the game I got the most copies of in my life...

It was actually a loose WH2 cart that came bundled with a defective aes system. The cart had part of the label missing. I got mad because I thought I was buying a working console and sold it all. Bought a complete AOF2 from a brick and mortar store and I consider that to be the first game of my collection. Years passed and I got a boxed Japanese Neo Geo with SS4, the addiction had intensified.

FFS, WH2J, Super Spy, Magician Lord, Baseball Stars and TPG. All came bundled with my home cart system.

First new home cart was KOF 98.

I remember a few years ago I felt like picking up MagLord again and looked here, and on ebay and was surprised to see the MVS cart was going for more than $20.

Still a WTF if you ask me, but I mean all arcade/Neo prices are stupid high right now anyway.

KOF 94 I bought with an AES system from someone around 97/98

Neo Mr. Do! MVS

No idea Neo CD I think maybe Turfmasters from the Neo Store actually

I had played Neo Geo on the Wildwood NJ Boardwalk and at my PA University but it wasn’t until I rented KOF 95 on PS 1 that I became a big fan

Magician Lord is not a cheap MVS cart. You'd have better luck looking for a cheap AES version.
