You joke, but that would actually be much more interesting than this.

I can see the appeal of getting a game running on vastly inferior hardware just to see what creativity the limitations require to get around.

And I can see the appeal of bringing super old games to modern platforms for the sake of convenience.

But porting old games from one system to a slightly inferior contemporary system? That just doesn't seem to make any kind of sense at all.

Most of us here already knew about this port, right? It seems like there have been posts about it for at least a year.

I got crucified on Twitter for saying modern tools, memory and dedicated fans make a port like this more possible than it was back in the day. I thought I was making a statement of fact, but everyone made sure to correct me and say it was totally reasonable to expect this port back in the day. The companies were just too stupid to make this in the 90's.

I'd be interested to try this just from curiosity.
But it really does beg the question what is the real upper limit on some of these older machines.
If the 32X or even the Saturn were really given the time (and support) to truly mature what would we have seen?
