My mails to Shawn and Mouse remain unanswered.

The admin interface of the forum software only allows access to user/forum-related stuff, there's no way to change server settings.

Don't really know what to do.

Reminds me of my mom's laptop. I took a look at it over the weekend because she said, "it's running slow." Understatement of the year. Apparently, the Best Buy geek squad characters loaded a multitude of bloat onto it. There were 11 programs enabled on startup. Two of which were anti-virus programs, and one of which was a VPN. When I began unstalling some of these things, she told me she needed them. "Tell me what a VPN is, mom, and I'll let you keep it." Haha

After some uninstallions and disabling a number of things, and a few updates later, her HP is now running like a mid-grade laptop from 2011. Which is a massive improvement from where it was before I opened it. Pretty sure I can double her ram at least, but there's nothing I can do about that 4 core/4 thread Intel chip.
