Something that's been bothering me about my PVM, is that nearly every console's picture is at a slightly different left-to-right position. So sometimes the picture is in the middle, but sometimes there's a narrow black bar on the left or right hand side...
Has anyone else had this before? Is there some small box of analogue magic that can correct this?
Thought I would share my video about the Sony PVM....

There are pots to adjust the video on the side when you take the cover off. Not much use in going crazy with adjusting them though because it's always a little off with different systems. That's why a lot of us like the newer PVMs because you can adjust the image from the menu.Which model do you have?
I've been wondering if maybe this doesn't happen (or happen as much) on the newer models like the PVM-20L5 or BVM-20F1U?
I've been looking at both of models to choose one to replace my 1954Q. The 20F1U seems to be the best choice picture quality-wise, but I'm concerned about the inputs - you're going to have to shell out more money for expansion ports just to get composite? And is s-video even a possibility?
I'm not sure I get you. You adjust the image from the menu of the 1954Q as well. What I've run into and what this guy has run into is that it's not just a little off when switching between systems, it's generally a lot off. In my case, it's even off when switching between games on *the same* system. Is your newer PVM one of the two I mentioned? There are pots to adjust the video on the side when you take the cover off. Has anyone had any experience with these monitors from Ikegami?

I got two for free and think they are pretty nice--though I don't have much high-quality CRT experience, and not much to compare them in terms of picture quality....except to one PVM of the same size.
Congrats on getting a "god tier" crt monitor
I love mine so much. Hopefully you go the remote but if you didn't you need model RD-346E which is easy to find on ebay.
