Another Neo Geo handheld?!

Saw that NeoCverA shared the mockup and games list for this earlier. I didn’t see any Neo Geo branding on this one so far and it reminded me of the “FunR1” arcade stick product Unico was selling before they began focusing on their new candy cab unit.
Similar to this new handheld, the FunR1 had preloaded Neo Geo games, but with no Neo Geo branding that I could see (in contrast, the MVSX has the SNK and Neo Geo logos/branding on the units).
Not sure where this new handheld product fits in their existing catalog since it looked like the main Unico site was redone to focus primarily on selling their rotating screen candy cab product. Time will tell.
Either way, the other neogeo hardware that was teased pre-pandemic remains lost to time:

Seems like it's just some off the shelf unit that they can jam a bunch of SNK roms they have the license for.
Like the R1 it just looks generic.

It should be simple and at least a little bespoke. The design they chose is just another Ali Express bullshit handheld.

I'd rather have no handheld at all, and especially not to play a bunch of old games I've owned for 20 years on various other platforms.
I love Real Bout Fatal Fury but I don't EVER see myself itching to play it on a handheld.

A lot of that is on the Switch now, too. And the prices are really good.
And let's not kid ourselves. We've bought these games over and over. What's one more time?
True Story:
My wife outbid someone on Faselei back when that game was drawing big bucks (it still might be for all I know).
The person she outbid on it sent her a nasty message on eBay saying 'YOU'RE THE REASON THESE GAMES ARE SO EXPENSIVE YOU FUCKING TURDBURGLAR!!!'
We couldn't stop laughing for days about it.
I was calling her a 'fucking turdburglar' right up until she passed away. It always put a smile on her face.
And let's not kid ourselves. We've bought these games over and over. What's one more time?

I get why people fall for this crap, but it's sad they do. There's nothing "Neo Geo" about this thing at all. If you want a modern handheld, why not just get the best one as internally they're pretty much all the same.
