air force brat growing up. I'm just now starting to consider St Louis home after 15 years.

With the amount of travel I do for work, every city is pretty much the same shit with a different name.

Yeah, it will be ok eventually all the moves were because of jobs. It just gets old like you said having everything boxed up. Some of my thing are still boxed from 07' the first time we moved. We are moving up to Granger, IN we are currently in Southaven, MS so it will be a huge change for us. I'll be up to my ass in snow 6 months out of the year. But down here it is so hot and humid just going for a walk w/ my dog this morning had me drowning in my own sweat.

I moved into this house 8 years ago... I still haven't found my old kettle...

I was SURE it was in one of the boxes... but I suspect i may have left it at my old house:D...

Born in Denver, lived here my entire life except for about one year when I was very young. We moved to California for a very short time (when I was 2-3) and then came back.

I have no desire to live elsewhere but I would like to do some travelling at some point.

Born and raised in California's central valley. At this rate I'll die here too lol.

Although, I'm gonna have to agree with NeoSneth, every city is just the same shit with a different name for the most part. If I could choose to live anywhere else it would be somewhere in Texas or maybe Vegas.

Vegas is so cray. As long as you have a little spending money in your budget, it's probably an awesome place to live. :buttrock:

I like Colorado a lot, I gripe about it sometimes and there was some culture shock the first year or so, but overall I don't really want to live anywhere else, been here over four years now. Been thinking about moving down to Denver or back to the Springs for a while now, it may be necessity soon. The cost of living in Fort Collins just isn't worth it to me anymore.

I still love Atlanta though, if I had a good reason to do so I would move back. A lot of people hate, but that city is goddamn FUN!

I don't feel like I've been enough places to actually call one spot my home Just yet. Most comfortable place has probably been Destin, FL though. I miss it something fierce.

Man, can't believe I forgot about Florida for a second... I've spent a little time around Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral and Pensacola, don't really know anything about Destin but Florida has an undeserved bad reputation, sure there are tons of crazies but they exist all over the country, and it's really just cities in Florida that have a problem with crazies, I have family around Jacksonville and Orlando, they're crazy places.

Hell you want to talk crazy, just google "Killdozer Granby Colorado", that's a whole level of batshit most people just can't achieve.

I bought a house in New Jersey a few years ago after spending most of my life here. I don't feel weird calling this place my home.

Yeah, I think Vegas is pretty ideal because outside the strip it's actually a pretty similar small city to mine. The population is only 600,000 which is only about 100,00 more people. And the weather is similar, so it would be easier to adjust than other places.

The best part is, where my city pretty much shuts down at 10pm, there's always something to do in Vegas. I'm a late evening person so I tend to get bored out of my mind when I can't sleep and there's nothing to do at 1am. (Wouldn't say late night because I can't really stay up until 6am like when I was younger)

THIS! Yes. I have that same problem where I live, 150k people in town, almost all of them are in bed by 10pm, there's a sizable college population so there are a lot of bars downtown near the campus (and close to me), but standing shoulder to shoulder with a bunch of frat boys isn't what I consider a good time, they make for lousy people watching too, because as "wild and crazy" (read: obnoxious) as they are, they're ultimately tame and predictable.

VEGAS though... Man, I spent four days there a few summers ago after I finished camping in a more remote part of the state, it's just like that old Elvis song "if you see it once, you'll never be the same again". You have The Strip which is just entertaining on so many levels, and I don't even gamble, parts of old downtown Vegas are kinda sketch, I saw a lot of crackheads, but like you said, once you're outside the casino areas it's just a nice, small city with great weather (<3 deserts). Rent is dirt cheap too.

Home is where my studio is.

Ah well... the missus and I live in this terraced house for 13 years now and don't intend to move. Nice neighbourhood, surrounded by a park, what else could you want.

It took me almost two years to feel at home here, though. Before we moved here, we lived in the middle of the muddle in a tiny flat in a bad part of town. However, it's only bad if you never lived there, actually I felt really good there. Lotsa action on the streets, lotsa small shops and not as super-clean as most other areas. The flat was too small for us in the end so when a friend of mine offered us to rent the terraced house we live in now, we accepted the offer.

If I would be single, I'd still live in my old area. Rent also was way cheaper.

For me I'd have to say Guam. It's beautiful, peaceful and I got along well with the locals. Lived there four years, I'd still be there if Uncle Sam didn't make me leave.

LOVE IS FOUND IN THE EAST AND THE WEST
BUT WHEN LOVE IS AT HOME ITS THE BEST

I guess you could say "home" would still be on the southern end of PA where the grass is naturally green, rolling hills, vast skies, the smell of diesel, white trash wonderland. I only say that because it takes me back to childhood, but I don't have a house out there or anything. I feel pretty at home in this apartment but its an apartment and I definitely don't want to live here for more than 3 or 4 years.

I'd love to live far and away from everything like String Fellow Hawk and still manage to have an income but it seems you can't have it both ways.

I think I'd get by pretty well in Los Angeles or somewhere in California. I've been told I'd be happy in Seattle as well, My girlfriend wants us to live in Colorado for the land. I only *like* Pennsylvania because I grew up here and I know it best, that's why I'm hesitant to ever leave. I have a serious hermit mentality and to me, knowing a place for this many years is a huge advantage and sometimes the only one I have.

I was born and raised in San Diego. Didn't start moving around until my early 20's. Since then, I've moved around several times(even went to Spain for awhile). Ended up coming back to San Diego and feel like I don't want to move again. Have considered England though as I have family there(but what about the beach!?)... :oh_no:

My best bud got married at the top of Mandalay bay in this stupidly expensive and awesome wedding. So that was my excuse to spend 3 days prior to that in Vegas, and man it was amazing. Got to see and laugh at some of the touristy shit (for example: Gold & Silver Pawn is a hole-in-the-wall and none of the guys really work there anymore except to film episodes), the clubs are top-notch and stacked with women, and the damn bachelor party, wowza...

I always ask people who are from San Diego what they are doing here (Fresno), lol
