Galaga 3 Cocktail

Just picked this up locally yesterday. Looking forward to being able to add a cocktail game to my collection. Game works great all original, monitor has burn but was recapped. Looking to snag a converter to change from Gaplus -> Jamma so I can keep the original game intact and redo the control panels/add a multi jamma setup for a couple cocktail jamma games:

Pictures borrowed from Yodd's sale thread. ;)

Yodd had a XBOX ONE that needed a good home and it was too good of a deal to pass up so I arranged to meet up yesterday and burned off the last bit of my tax refund to pay for it. :emb:

Now I just have to make room in my entertainment center for it. :annoyed:

Wow, congratulations! What a fantastic pick-up at such a great deal. I'd just about keel over in happiness if I found this near me.

Thank you! Yeah it was listed on Craigslist like 9 hours before I contacted the guy (guy was about 20 minutes from me no less), I guess it pays to check it regularly. I talked to the guy a bit, he has a audio/video editing company (it was on the side of the truck) and he told me he upgraded all his new equipment to 4K and he was clearing out some stuff he had in storage. The only thing I was nervous about was that I didn't hook it up myself until I got home, but he showed me plenty of pictures of it in action. It does have a really nice picture btw.

Indigo Books (of all places) had this Xbox One on sale for $270 CAD. So I could not resist. Regular retail in Canada is still sitting at $400 for a new Xbox One.

So far Rise of the Tomb Raider does not seem quite as good as the previous Tomb Raider. But I haven't played too long yet.

The other pack-ins are pretty good too.

Yeah the new TR definitely isn't as good as the previous one. It's still worth a play through tho.

I bet you're right. I think I'll still like TR more than enough to complete it.
I'm really loving Volgarr the Viking! Awesome killler game :)

It's here: The non-working MVS MV1FT board. According to the seller, it gives a Z80 error, and while he said he couldn't really see any corrosion, there is a bit, and it's probably what's causing it. Traces seem mostly OK except for one really green one. There's some crap on a few chips, especially NEO-D0 and NEO-C1. Haven't checked underneath the pads on the underside yet, but for what I can see, it looks OK. I won't post all the pictures of the corrosion here to prevent spam, so if you want to see some of the corrosion on the board, check out this Imgur album. I'll start working on it as soon as I get the required supplies (such as a JAMMA connector for testing it). Quick question: Can I wire up BNC cables to R, G, B, and Sync and connect them straight to a PVM for testing purposes? I assume you can, but asking probably doesn't hurt :)

You may want to get rid of that battery first :)

I think they are both equally great. TR had a better story but RotTR was more fun to play imo. PS4 owners are actually lucky I guess cause whenever it releases for them it will probably have all the story DLC missions that I refuse to pay for.

Not only is it truly fantastic for a stream of quick matches, but now I've found out that after some alcohol my wife is actually better at this one than I am. :D

Picked this up yesterday for the price of two crates of Dutch Hertog Jan beer, a Photoplay 2000 touchscreen arcade cabinet. Guy apparently sold it because it was his son's and he told him to get rid of it multiple times... Kinda felt shitty to take it, but after we drove an hour to that place, we sure as hell weren't leaving empty handed. Has a few blotches, but nothing that cannot be resolved. Also came with a box of spare parts, such as some ISA cards and a dongle, but most importantly another motherboard complete with 4MB of RAM and a ST 486DX CPU. That'll make for a nice DOSBox, as it's a standard AT board with 4 PCI and 4 ISA slots. I'll just sell off the proprietary parts and the system that's in the machine now. Have played around with it, but I can't get any video out of the current system. Did get video with a Linux box I had around, but after a while I heard a fizz, saw smoke and smelled a burning fireworks-like smell from the CRT circuitry. The CRT still turns off and on, but something tells me the circuitry is bad. But I guess the tube's still OK. That said, I probably will take out this tube and put in a 20" CRT TV, since the monitor runs on 31KHz VGA standard while the Neo Geo runs at 15KHz, and those converters GBS, while cheap, probably will add too much lag and noise to the image. I'll probably hack the TV I would put in it, by tapping into OSD lines so that upon power-on it doesn't need to be switched to SCART. But, that'll come once I get the MVS board up and running.

That cab looks kinda rough... you'll have to do a lot of cleaning, painting and hacking, but I think it has the potential!
Is this your first project?

P.S.:

That's the spirit ;)

Got my raspberry pi3 back this week, all the bit's you can see in the pic also an HDMI cable and a 32gb sd card for £75. Came preconfigured with retropie and an absolute shitload of roms and systems, plug and play straight out the box, bit of a steal i reckon.
Dreamcast emu works pretty good but it's a bit choppy, guy i got it off scrubbed the saturn emu he reckoned it sucked which was a bit of a downer as i was hoping to have a decent sat emu on it.
Quite an easy thing to mess around with as well as long as you know how to FTP.
Never thought i'd say it but looks like my fav rombox (the ogxbox) has finally been surpassed.
Oh and the guy stuck kodi on it as well so once i enabled the wi-fi i got a lovely little media box as well.
