Been looking at ebay auctions for a while and they all seemed to go for around $300 at the end, so I ended up buying this one locally for $260 out the door after a 20% coupon.

That cab looks kinda rough... you'll have to do a lot of cleaning, painting and hacking, but I think it has the potential!
Is this your first project?
To be honest: Yes. Though I think this would probably be a great way to learn more about this stuff while making a nice cab. I definitely don't know much about designing decals for it (I would like a custom marquee and button overlay at some point), but I can always look around and see how others do it and learn from that. As for the cab, yeah, it's kinda rough, but I planned on painting it anyway, as I already wanted to paint the sides red, like the real deal. The golden edges are pretty much gone, but fortunately it's standard T-molding and it can be replaced with the normal black rubber kind. And yep, I changed my mind on the CRT ordeal after reading more negative stuff on the GBS thing (I didn't expect much but the negatives are pretty off-putting), and now that the original CRT's circuitry has smoked out, I might as well do it right the first time. Here's hoping that I can find a good tube TV that will fit and work nicely in this cab.

Maybe you shouldn't be buying expensive video games on obscure formats then.

I bet she doesn't.

Not seeing a problem here, but you sound rather bitter.
Or are you too insecure to enjoy something that you aren't great at?

I am new. I'm sure that's enough to earn me a measure of hostility, but I'm not looking to antagonize anyone.

Nah your good, ASID is one hell of a gamer he was just bustin your balls a bit.

Found a Nintendo Wii at a yardsale yesterday for a $1. Think I will try this hacking thing on it since I've never done any of that before.

It's easy as pie. Search for letterbomb.

Edit: smashstack works, too, but LB is better.

I got a pile-o-Saturns from mjmjr a few days ago, one working but yellow and two parts systems. After working on them a bit...

Saturn.JPG

One fully working and nice, still white Japanese Saturn! :buttrock:

Now to get to work on the others...

If you've got a matching white one, sure. Mike gave me several gray ones.

Nice, looking forward to your reports... don't be afraid to ask for tips/help, there's a lot of knowledgeable people around here.

So my PS3 would work on the PVM. PS1 and 2 games look quite nice, playable compared to any damn lcd.

Cool, thanks for the advice, I will check it out. Everything seems like it will be pretty easy.

Need any specific help to set this up, PM me. It's been awhile, but the process took 45 minutes the first time being careful, and probably half that the second time.

bustedstr8 dropped off a Super Sidekicks MVS cart.

You all know what an MVS cart looks like, no need for pictures.
