Just picked up a Nomad this week. It's in nice condition, and included the 6 AA battery pack. I have a bunch of rechargeable batteries, but I might get this modern pack they make for it once I see how bad the battery life is with the current one.
I took it apart to clean it all up and swap out the scratched up lens with a new glass one, and I was pleased with how clean everything was. Nothing appeared to be leaking or out of order.
The original screen is as good as you can hope for with one of these, which is of course, not great. Haha. So I'll probably put in a modern LCD or TFT at some point. Even just a cheap one off alliexpress or somewhere will be an improvement on a mid-90s screen. I've done a few Gameboys over the years, so I think I can probably handle it.

I had a component AES (REI) from Neotropolis a few years back but sold it because it didn't have a box.
And just got this a couple of days back
JPN AES
This is a 3-5 revision board with the following mods:
-RGB bypass with csync restored while keeping composite video intact
-Full cap kit from Console5 installed
-Unibios 4.0 and socket installed
-DFO installed- Changes refresh rate to 59.94hz
-Matching numbers, box, manual & original PSU.
2 controllers with the following mods:
-New 30mm Seimitsu balltop
-New 24mm Seimitsu smoke Alutimo MX buttons
-New button PCB installed(Taitoc labs)
-Sticks have been completely disassembled, cleaned, regreased and new Seimitsu springs and micro switches installed as well.
And just got this a couple of days back
