There are videos on how to open them on youtube and a guide on JNX. The most difficult part is to not damaging the label.

Damaging the cart is always a risk, those clips be fragile. I've only done it once, never again.

NEVER,EVER use a screw driver to open up the cartridge. You must apply pressure to certain points around the cart to open. Purchase your stuff from reputable sellers and you should be fine.

Do not use tools. It should be done carefully by hand, gradually increasing pressure on the 4 tab points. If the plastic tabs are brittle, they are likely to break. Practice on a cheap cart first.

Visit JNX like I suggested earlier: http://www.jamma-nation-x.com/jammax/tutorials.html and click: "Hardware : May 28 2009 : How to Open an AES Cart : Guide Link". They have pictures showing where the clips are located. I agree with Wyo, practice on a cheap cart first.

I use a couple plastic tools to open the carts, they work fine and do not damage the plastic shell. PM me if you want pics of the tools.

Really dumb how snk designed the cartridges (both AES and MVS). Makes me wonder how the counterfeit scene would be if opening was as easy as SNES/NES carts.

Very risky. I would never risk tearing the label, especially on pricey games like those. If you don't mind me asking, where did you purchase the games?

AES, definitely, but MVS are easy enough.

Only problem with MVS is you can tear/crease the label if you are not careful. I like the Omega shells design, they are great. Would have bought some if they had been produced.

Regards.
