Also, gaming was dying on its arse before the playstation came out and thankfully loosened Nintendo's stagnation on everything - we'd still be playing two n64s sellotaped together with 128MB cartridges and friend codes by 2035 otherwise. Thank god it did, now they're not even in the same race.

I have never played a Pokemon game, but I thought about only playing those or something. I'm unlikely to catch up with all the generations, even if I stick to remakes.

My miss was Sonic Frontiers, the kids spent maaaaaybe 15 minutes on that one.

I'm not actually excited for Pokemon, just figured I could redirect back to Switch 2. I haven't played a Pokemon game since Red/Blue (except for Pinball and Puzzle League), but the older kid played Violet to death, I expect he will want it.

No one I know recieved the invite from Nintendo for ordering. My friends have 4+ switches per household, hundreds of hours.
