Ill try everything: create rom myself and download from the web, 2 power supply, 2 microsd brands(Sandisk and Kingston), change region on menu, change between MVS/AES, with and without memory card... Any advice? Thanks.

Are you on AES? If so, have you tried changing the "MVS backup RAM" setting in the NeoSD menu?

Yeah, I think I try every combination in the menu. Other strange thing is that if I press any button of the controller it reset the game.

Total hail mary, but it fixes many problems for me: Add a file named "reset.cfg" to the root of the SD card, then boot up the NeoSD. This will reset it back to factory defaults.

I somehow fix it. Launch the game on MVS mode and enter the bios menu(4 buttons pressed when game load), enter every option without change nothing and exit. Works with world and Korean version.

Weird method but cool if it works.

Hello, I have a problem with my NEO SD PRO MVS. It worked flawlessly in my New Astro City with a 2 Slot MVS. I use it now in my SNK cab with a 4 slot MVS mobo and the menu is crambled with artifacts. I heard the firmware 1.08 R10 took care of that issue but I cannot get Terraonion to help me. Could someone help me out please?

This could be kind of normal from what I understand. If the menu is still usable and the games still play fine I wouldn't worry about it.

As far as I heard the newest firmware took care of that problem. But I cannot get it from their website.
I wouldn´t care, but you cannot read anything in the menu so you cannot choose a game at all.

Im having some issues with my NEOSD MVS

I purchased a Romstar Conversion Kit with an MV1 Board in a HS-1 P.O.W. cab back in 2020 from a Video Game Store going out of business.
It had some issues so i put it away as a future project.
Back in August of 2020 i purchased a NEOSD MVS from Stoneagegamer. Never got to test it.

Fast forward Years Later ... recently i finally got a chance to get everything fixed up on the board.

I recently purchased a Clone CBOX 2 Super Gun. All my JAMMA arcade boards are working on it fine.

All my original MVS Carts ive tested Work no issues.

However when i boot up my NeoSD MVS i dont get any clear readable text and it boots to a menu with blocky graphics.

if i push a button on the controller it looks like it tries to load a game but just restarts to the blocky graphics menu.

Ive taken the Boards out, Reseated them, made sure they are in the right order with the arrow on the bottom, cleaned the pins.
Tried 2 different SD cards, currently using Sandisk Ultra 32GB.
Tried booting it with no SD card ... all same result.

Unfortunately i dont know anybody else with a MVS so i havent been able to test that.

Im hoping anybody can give me any advise, or troubleshooting ideas i can try.

being that is been so long since i purchased it there is more no warranty or anything.

Try a different memory card or re-image it? Clean contacts…

What voltage are you seeing at the 5v pins on the jamma edge?

It is likely just a compatibility issue. The MV-1 had issues even with later official games. I have one and it does not work well with the Vortex multicart.

I would ask around and see what boards people are having success with the NeoSD and just get a different board.

ahhh this is unfortunate, but highly possible cause then. i didnt realize that this board even had issues with official later releases. Ill have to find a someone with a later board revision. Tho Im surprised this wouldnt have been noted by Terraonion as the website says "Compatible with any MVS board model"

I figure the early large boards aren't as common for Supergun/consolized use and the multi slots are more popular in cabs which leaves the big 1 slot boards in a sort of no-man's-land.

It's possible it wasn't directly tested, but who knows. I'd have to count up but I think there must be at least a dozen variant boards, and I'd be surprised if they actually had access to all of them.

I suppose you could attempt to ask them, but while I don't have direct experience, I've understood they aren't the easiest to get support from.

If you're ever in Pittsburgh let me know or if I ever end up in Harrisburg I could bring some stuff with for testing.

Thanks much appreciated. ill keep doing some more research and stop in to some video game shops around and see if maybe someone has another MVS for testing.

Follow up ... For anyone that has an original MV1 there is some kind of compatibility issue with the NeoSD, at least with mine.
I got a MV1C, booted right up no issues.
If anyone does happen to have an MV1 and the NeoSD works. Please let me know, or if there is anything you might have done to get it to work. UniBios upgrade or bodge wire to something??

side note ... does anyone have a link or instructions to the latest, proper and best way to get stereo out of the MV1C ?
