You got really good really quickly.
Have you every played match play? The wind goes unusually crazy in 2P match play. I got a bit bored of the game a couple years ago and haven't played since. I always wished there was a way to have that wind difficulty level in single player. I enjoyed that challenge much more than level 4 or level 8 stroke play wind.

Thanks, I did play it a lot back when I had a cab. Granted that was 20 years ago, but it was a bit like riding a bike for the big parts and I picked it back up pretty quickly. Fine tuning took some time though, specifically the putts. Now that I've got a bit more of a handle on that stuff, it's just getting more consistent. Obviously I only post my best scores and I reset A LOT of rounds when things go wrong. I'd like to scratch out a -20 USA gold card then move on to trying my hand at Scotland.
I do play Match Play on Fightcade somewhat regularly too. Really fun way to play. There are some truly great players on there and I think I'm maybe middle of the pack or a little above that right now. Some of the truly wild winds still catch me off guard, which is why I plan to bump my play to level 8 after posting a couple decent Scotland scores.

First PB that includes an Albatross I think. Chip in Eagle on 1, Chip in Eagle on 8 (couldn't make green in 2 because of wind), Albatross on 11, then choke a putt on 15 and an approach on 16 before calming down to finish at -20. No gold card (would have been -22 if closed out), but a new PB.

if u go on like this u can become one of the best players
and u can reach good place in the championship
very good that u want play scotland, my advice is start play scotland at lev 2
u need reference of white arrow, or another reference u like for all tee shots
scotland at lev 2 or 4 is close to japan course

Opened with Eagle chip on 1, got the rock skip on 14 but missed the Eagle putt. Otherwise hit everything as I know I can for a new PB of -22. Also happened to record this round, so if you feel like watching, here is the youtube link (not sure why the bottom bit of the screen is cut off, recorded it just using windows built in recording).

Nondescript Front 9 to get to -11 although I did leave myself tougher putt than usual on 7. But then chip in Eagle on 10 with no wind and an all but perfect rock skip on 14 to get an easy Eagle putt put me in position for a new PB as long as I didn't choke. No wind on 15 made that a straightforward play for Birdie. Played safely long on 16 to avoid the water and deal with a tougher putt instead. Scared myself on 17 by getting it just up onto the slope making for another tricky putt. Then on 18, I put it a little further right with the wind than I should have, but got it onto the fringe of the green for an easy Eagle putt.

Since the only other things I have interest in working on would be grinding USA or Germany to get my score down another stroke or two, I decided to start on Scotland. The baseline difficulty is a huge jump from the 4 regular courses, but after a few days I was getting the hang of things. Went from Even rounds, to -6, to -12.
Today, I got this round without a bogey, a few chip/putt ins from off the green for Eagle or to save Birdie, several tough putts and no major screw ups, but several places I could still improve. I think I could do -18 with relatively little additional effort, going beyond -20 would be possible but starts to require doing the double rock skip on 3 and taking a couple more chances that just reduce the amount of rounds that stand a chance of being finished at all. We'll see. This is on MVS difficulty as shown being selected at the beginning of the video.

MVS is level 5, u started 21th place, MVS is a little bit more difficult than "normal" level
The max position u can start in normal level is 19th (from 9th to 19th)

Thanks, I assumed MVS would equal the default arcade setting which is level 4. So if Normal is 4, Hard is 8? What is Easy then? 1 or 2?
