Continued to work on Scotland, felt like I couldn't finish a round without a minimum of 2 missed putts even if everything else went right. Finally today got a near perfect round put together. I'll have to ask Ken, this might be a tie with him for best Scotland score.
Tapped the pin on 1 and 3, normal rock skip 2, pretty windy on 4, 5, 7, and 8. Another pin tap on 9. Tricky putt on 10 and an even trickier putt on 11 after getting into the rough because of some more wind.
After making the putt on 11 I was feeling pretty good. But then more wind on 12 and 13. Felt like it wouldn't let up, but I made good shots on both, still on a gold card. Finally wind relief for an easy eagle on 14 and no trouble on 15.
16 was scary but worked out as well as I could have hoped. No wind on 17 meant an easy hole but no chance to drive the green for eagle, but I chipped it in instead!
Now dreading to see the wind on 18...it loads...no wind! Easy birdie to finish up. Can finally take a breath.
