Tough call. I am not sure would be a worse purchase, that goobed up FF3 cart or a freaked MVS game.

Good point. It's obvious to veterans like us that this is a boot. There are no photos of the inside, but it must be EPROMs. A real Irritating Maze cart is not cheap these days.

If you're a newb shopping for Neo Geo on ebay these days you need to educate yourself to be on the lookout for words like "signature" or "special."

I will give them this: There was at least an attempt made to preserve that original AES shell instead of just tossing it. If it were mine, I would probably try to find the right glue to hold it together well, then smooth out the appearance with paint, etc. I'm sure someone with the skill could make it pretty nice.

Sadly, I found it when I was checking what the cheapest loose AES goes for these days, and it was the cheapest, after a faulty one.

A working loose system used to be just over $200.
