Not really saying much when the US could’ve won that groupEngland are just taking it easy on summer holidays. Still won the group without breaking much of a sweat.

Basically you can't blame England for not running their guts out in the last game, it was the last one of the group phase and the last thing you need at that point is lots of yellow cards and injured players so it's better to keep things on a reasonable level.Don’t England have this tradition of being pretty underwhelming in the group stages but then getting better at the knockout stages? We’ll see.
Maybe the team isn't really a team yet.
It feels like somehow they always get lucky with the group draws too, but this could just be because I dislike themDon’t England have this tradition of being pretty underwhelming in the group stages but then getting better at the knockout stages? We’ll see.
They played like shit, shit their pants that they were going out (which would have been deserved), played about 9 minutes of ok football against a mediocre side and got a couple of goals, went 1 up, sat back again and nearly conceded multiple times.Pfft. England left it a bit late in that match.

I don't know what they're trying to do, I don't understand Southgate at all in this tournament.
Well, if it makes you feel any better, I can assure you the British press are not being any less critical of England doing it. They're getting absolutely roasted here. They call this type of play "ergebnisorientiert" (output-driven) over here, it's ugly but does the trick.
There's a certain irony in the fact that the German team got accused of this for decades, specially by the British sports press.
It would be funny if England won the tournament with every pundit and fan moaning and complaining after every game.
The defense looked pretty dodgy today. Slovakia should have kept pressing.
The talent is there somewhere. Just not playing cohesively as a team right now but continuing to scrape through with the bare minimum of effort.
PS. Suck it, @Tw3ek!
That's on Saturday (probably)I'm glad I was at work and saw nothing of the Austria Netherlands match,
