20 min of Super Mario Bros Wonder gameplay

I have pre-order it. Looks really fun and "Mario style" is still here.

Edit: Did I hear right? Online multiplayer..

F-Zero 99 is great! I can't imagine what it's like for people who don't know the tracks though.

I played there all afternoon yesterday.
I'll have it for another week, waiting to receive my pre-order 🎮

Edit : Easier gameplay, unlimited time and shorter levels like Super Mario 3D World.
Don't expect a new "New Super Mario Bros", the game is totally different from the old platform games, but really fun.

Wonder is great. Easily the best Mario to come around in a very long time.

This is good to hear. The “New” series had zero charm.

Yeah wonder finally does 2d Mario justice (although I also really like the nsmb games).

It starts out extremely easy and boring, but it picks up.

Wonder is basically “what if they made a NSMB game but it was really good?”

And it keeps getting better. This might just be the best 2d mario ever.

New Super Mario Bros. always felt so soulless to me, like it didn't even come close to be as cool as SMB3 or SMW. Glad to see Nintendo actually managed to make a cool side scroller this time around, I might play it on my switcheroo later.

Seeing polygonal side scrollers typically turns my stomach, but the animation in Wonder is good enough that I quickly got over it. I'm only about halfway through World 2, but thus far I agree with those that say it brings back whatever "it" was that New lost.

Oh they are. But they are still solid platformers. The first one had the most "soul" and each subsequent one squeezed that soul more and more. NSMBU is about as generic and bland of a game as you can possibly get. But there just aren't that many Mario style games out there, so I'll take what I can get.

I was initially worried Wonder would over compensate and go too far in the other direction. Thankfully it didn't. I also really appreciate the quality of life improvements Wonder has, it's about damn time Nintendo. QoL is Nintendo's biggest weakness after online play.

I've gotten 100% on the first four worlds so far, and Wonder continues to hold up. I don't think I've seen a Nintendo published game that might be underrated before. This is a far better game than Odyssey, yet somehow that one is 6 points higher on OpenCritic. Yes, "gaming journalism" is a joke, but typically it's at least a consistent one.

I'd put Odyssey down with Sunshine amongst the worst Marios. I don't understand why that game is so acclaimed.

I've just about 100%'d wonder and it's still excellent. I do have one complaint but I'll save it to avoid spoiling. Overall almost certainly going to be a top game in the series for me.

Underrated? People online are acting like it's the second coming.

I've been playing it, and yeah, it's great.
