Black covers are already out - PS5 Pro uses the same covers as the PS5 Slim.

Yes, I'm also aware that Blu-ray & UHD Blu-ray discs are compressed from the source material (the original 35mm film or digital file from the movie camera).
But they're the best picture quality you can get for home viewing- that's why they'll never be obsolete.

I think I am going to say fuck it and get this. I did complain about the price but at the same time, it will be a hot item regardless of complaints and the pro may be short stock like the ps4 pro. I'm still debating on pre-order. If it happens to be scalped, extra money I can make since I made some good money flipping a few PS5's during the pandemic.

But if I’m going to spend $700 on a console why not just buy a $500-700 GPU and drop 300-500 more on other PC components.

What shirts are you buying for more than $700. Genuinely curious. If it’s embarrassing graphic tees or street wear (actually, if it’s a tee shirt, in general) please don’t post it.

$700 just screams of tatty “luxury” brands for the poors or classless nouvea-riche.

For $700 I’m getting a tailor to make my shirt.

I guess what I really meant was, that Blu-ray's are the most uncompressed format you can watch.
Which doesn't mean that they have no compression (from the original film masters).

Because the GPU will break in three years. Then it will be outdated so it will be time to upgrade. But no one upgrades because you're limited by your mobo, so then you need to buy a whole new $1500 system.
