Is it worth watching?

It's the only live action show in the series I haven't put much time into.

Yes. I put it after TNG and TOS as far as enjoyment factor. 7 of 9 related eps are a tad better but without getting into too much detail, the series finale was kinda meh for me. Definitely worth a watch though.

I'm just finishing up the last series, Enterprise. Some decent episodes here and there but a dud for me.

I enjoyed it. I think like most of the Star Trek series, the 1st year is a bit rough so try to stick with it if you can.

Great series, just finished watching through all of it recently. It's better than DS9, but not quite as good as TNG or TOS. Didn't give Enterprise much of a chance as it seems pretty bad.

Enterprise was good when the writers would stick to a direction for more than one episode. There were way to many times where they would start a plot line or something interesting and just say "fuck it" and go onto something else.

I really enjoyed Voyager but near it the end it almost became Star Trek: 7 of 9 and turned me off. Still some good episodes but they humanized Q way to much and just seemed to forget about some characters as time went on. The whole warp 10 storyline was ridiculous especially after they had gotten to warp 12 in parts of TNG and didn't turn into lizards.

Well, there are a lot of issues with Enterprise. Actually, too much time travel in any show/series just ruins it for me... unless that's the premise (Quantum Leap). Oh, wait. ;)

Agree on the first year sentiment. It was a rough beginning but once they got it going, it was solid most of the way through.

Well, there are a lot of issues with Enterprise.

They tried too hard to tie it in to the other shows (hey, we've got Borg, Ferengi, and a female lead in a ridiculous costume!) and explain things that didn't need explaining (like why TOS Klingons don't have ridges and other dopey plots).

And thanks to those awful reboot movies we probably wont get any more real Star Trek shows for a long time, if ever. :(

Voyager is shit with just fewer than ten good episodes to redeem it for example "Message in a Bottle" and "Living Witness" being 2 of them. Voyager single handedly took the borg character and reduce them to a over used joke.

The DS9 Dominion war story line was the best star trek TV series plot. Man remember the Odyssey that could have just as easily been the 1701-D and I was heart broken when I saw the original Defiant die a horrible death.

Better than DS9 and Enterprise.

Yes.
give it time.
don't take it too seriously the first season.

I watched it on a whim for the same reason, i had seen everything else. I actually like it quite a bit. There's enough TNG overlap to make it bearable.

Somewhat related; I thought that the pilot episode of the original series featuring Captain Pike was alluring. It felt like a movie and I found myself somewhat disappointed with the following episode because of it

tldr: previous warp speeds above 10 were recalibrated into shit like warp 9.-something

The doctor makes it well worth watching. By far my favorite character.

Most modern feddie ships have a momentary max warp of 9.9whatever but none including the Sovereign and Prometheus have a cruise warp of the same magnitude. No feddie ship can go warp ten excluding plot devices like transwarp and slipstream bullshit.
