Why no Naomi love?

as mentioned on the vote thread (and ive been following this thread every month), this was the one game of the 5 choices that i did not own.

i have yet to be able to play in the shmup of the month club. every month the opportunity to play is lost because its always a game i don't have- yet every month one of the choices was something in my collection. :D

me not being able to play is becoming something of a tradition.

to be fair, my vote was for everything except MM. i didnt see my vote listed.

....

Your vote is cm.

cm is short for c[dam]m.

It's the first and last letter of your name.

Your vote was applied to all games except MM and Pulstar?. MM because you did not want to vote for it. And Pulstar because I missed it (but that oversight is harmless 'cause the game has the least amount of votes).

----------

1. Ikaruga (LV, ck, c[dam]m, Ja, s7);
2. Strikers 1945+ (K2, SM, c[dam]m, ds, DS); or,
3. Mars Matrix (P8, Ji, Cp, OG, TB, Fc, s7, DS).
---
4. Gunhed/Blazing Lazers (OG, Ja, c[dam]m, DS, w3)
5. Pulstar? (kp, DS)

... me not being able to play is becoming something of a tradition.

This is what happens when there is no annual schedule.

I tried to get an annual schedule made at the beginning of the year (like the RB club) but the gang wanted to pick one game at a time.

The annual schedule has an advantage, imho, in that there are no surprises and people have a change to get the games they want to play ahead of time (if they don't already have them).

you expect me to use teh romz??

....

Nope. I just wanted to offer another option for game play.

Been in the same boat as you: Missed out on Shiki, Musha, Cavern, and Espy. I just don't own these cool games.

I nominated the MAY games because Poodle got his ass temp-banned and didn't comeback and start a vote thread, as asked; and, rvls didn't step up and take over poodle's spot and start a vote thread, as asked.

I picked the MAY game because Buck didn't pick the MAY game. And I picked it based upon the Vote count.

This month is off to a great start because the easiest game to acquire has disappointed a member.

Anyway...(I'm way out of practice, but unlike some people who "participate", I'm not going to post an old score)

When it's my turn to list games to vote, rest assured that all three choices will be neo geo titles.

wouldn't ikaruga be the easiest to aquire? it can be had for sub $30 all day on GC.

but the big thing would be to keep people to only one vote like usual. there was no poll, so people that voted for several titles boosed the MM votes. again. this was the only one i didnt have.

Yeah, I see some cheap Ikarugas on the Bay. I also see some cheap Mars Matrixs on the Bay too. Don't know if they'll stay that way though.

Here is a list of the members who voted for more than one game.

1. J[ibbajab]a : Who voted for two games: Ikaruga & Blazing Lazors,
2. s[kate323k13]7: Who voted for two games: Ikaruga & Mars Matrix,
3. O[MF]G: Who voted for two games: Mars Matrix and Blazing Lazors,
4. D[octor Shroo]m: Who voted for every game except Ikaruga: So four games: Strikers 1945+, Mars Matrix, Blazing Lazors, and Pulstar?, and
5. c[dam]m: Who voted for every game except Mars Matrix: So four games: Ikaruga, Strikers 1945+, Blazing Lazors, and Pulstar?.

I did not vote.

I did not vote.

so, potentially a 3 vote swing by not having a poll like every other time.

In the absence of Buck picking the winner (regardless of the vote count), I cast the widest net and went with the game that got the most votes--so the most members could play. And that happened to be Mars. If it was Pulstar? or Blazing Lazors, then I would have picked that game instead (of MM). And, if I did, since I do not have those games yet, then I probably would not be playing this month. But, since the forum went with Mars, I selected Mars.

Hey, we had about 72 hours to make this happen.

And everyone knows why.

The tally was simple:

1. I nominated three games that I was in the mood to play.
2. If you were in the mood to play something else: then I added it to the list.
3. I kept a running tally.
3. You could vote for as may games as you like.
4. You could change your vote whenever you like.
5. The mod selects the game during the 1st.
6. If not, then I pic the game (with the most votes, so the most members can play).
7. The forum members voted for MM 3 more times than any other game.
8. Since the Mod did not select a game, I picked MM.

I unfortunately do not have my DC yet (it is on the way) so am forced to use an emulator for now, but I am definitely going to give this a go!
