Be sure to post character you are using as well - skiki II, more than probably any other game - has extreme differences in character ability to score.

For next month, yeah, a hori sounds good to me - something in the MVS library should def. be considered every couple months.

Just dug through a pile of CRTs to set up a little tate station to give this a whirl on PS2. Not a big fan of the series, despite owning all 3 I've barely touched them.

Ok, let's make keeping score easy for the mod. When you post your scores, use a templet:

NAME - SCORE - STAGE - PLAYER - PLATFORM.


So, for example,

kidpanda - 1,760,885,400 - Stage 3-2 - Kohtaro Kuga - PS2
Chempop - 1,437,368,640 - Stage 3-2 - Kohtaro Kuga - ??


That way all the mod has to do is copy and paste your scores from your post and put it into the the score board (ladder board) when he updates the thread. It makes life so much easier.

She's on the verge of needing cap kit surgery, so I'll do both deeds at once-you know, make a day of it. Buy girl a corndog or sumpin.

I prolly won't play S of the Month, this month anywho.

Isn't the Shiki no Mansume Shir-ow series of STGs the ones where you spin your character around like a 17-year-old, momodreaded white girl zonked out on 'cid at a 'Dead show in '92?

Or is that Psyviar?

so in case anyone is trying to play this one on their blast city. This game requires 2 coin counters, but do not despair, you can spoof it ! 1) Create a Jamma adapter that shorts pin J ( coin counter 2 ) to any +5v source VIA A 100 ohm resistor. Or 2) hack your 001 loom.

I'm playing on a small sanyo flatscreen CRT with a Hori fight stick. Not an ideal setup, but it works well enough I suppose. I'm slightly warming up to this game, although the bullets are so tiny it strains my eyes pretty quickly. Maybe I'm just used to the 27" screen on my cab. I remember back in 2002 when I was visiting a friend in Tokyo the first Shiki game was pretty popular in the arcades, more so than Ikaruga at that point. I was really hoping Shiki1 would get released for xbox in the US, instead we got Mobile Light Force 2 lol.
