PENDING SALE!!! but fret not, I'll be getting more of these, just be patient
Some of you guys know me to be going a little crazy getting these things in and fixing them up. I bought a huge lot of em and I need to get some money to pay the shipping... SO here's a refurbished unit up for sale!
IF you are into 16 bit gaming and like near perfect arcade ports.... the 68000 is your machine! Apparently it was used to program some CPS1 games. There are some excellent versions of popular games. Some of the Konami titles are particularly epic on the system!
Sharp X68000 Compact XVI Workstation
- Unit has been fully recapped (mainboard, PSU, floppy drives, and interface boards)
- Works perfectly
Original X68000 Compact Keyboard
Handmade x68k to VGA adapter cable
- Still requires a monitor that will accept at a minimum a 31khz signal... older PC monitors work for this
Handmade MegaDrive/Genesis controller adapter
USB Floppy Drive
- For writing your own disks. Most original software was on 5.25" floppies which the Compact cannot use)
- Requires XP 32bit (or Vista I'm told) to format disks, newer OS's can be used to write disks after they've been formatted.
I'll include a few disks with some homebrew games written to them to get you started.
The only thing I didnt do was replace the SRAM backup battery (Lithium coin type) as I didnt have any the correct size. SRAM settings are still holding on the unit just fine and the battery is of the coin type which dont leak (at least that i've seen) The current settings of the system are the same as the default so you might not even notice if it does die.
Asking $500 shipped to the USA
Gameplay example "Cho Ren Sha 68k" a homebrew shooter
Gameplay example "Akumajo Dracula"
