Rate It!: Captain Tomaday Edition

Recently picked this up and thought it was an interesting game. Very interesting, reminds me of Twin Bee.

So for those who have played it, please rate it from 1-10.

A decent Poppin Twinbee clone, without the anime feel.

Poppin Twinbee + a cold can of V8.

I gave it a 9. The transformations are awesome and really help the replay value. The intro alone makes it worth checking out.

I played this a couple of years ago at a Neo gathering but haven't had the cash to play it since...fun stuff from what I remember.

I've tried to like this game, I really have, but it's just missing that "fun" factor for me... I've actually sat down with it on a few occasions to play with the sole intention of seeing WHY I don't like it, and I still can't figure it out...

I rate it a 8 not a top tire neo shooter but good at least.Though i wouldn't rate it any higher,then a 8 the game can drag on for too long.Given on each stage you stop fight a wave of enemy then go then a boss.Rinse and repeat many times in that shooter.

Its nice and colourful and has good presentation, its just pretty boring.

If I remember right the bosses are a little on the long side and
I didn't like the carrot form.

Same here, bought it because it was something different, but could never get into it. Intro is cool and the graphics are unique but I just never had a good time playing it.

Now that I can understand. I think the only Viscos I enjoy are the 2 Drift out games they made, Neo Drift Out and Hard Order.

I do but I think the characters are very unbalanced. That one twist kick with Ryo is just too powerful.

Sure it's unbalanced, but it's all about Dao dominating, not Ryo. Anyway it's not enough to destroy a great game.

I enjoy shooters casually. I have only every owned 1 out of the 500 or so games in my collection. I played this at an import store not long ago. It held my interest enough for me to spend over a dollar playing it.
