The last couple of weeks I grabbed a Game Elf, 19" monitor, speakers and a couple controllers

Using my supergun on the jamma connector produced unplayable video. The VGA looks great.

The Game Elf has some games I haven't played in years!

It doesn't have all the Neo games and there are some sound issues with them ones on there.

I have the 412 vertical SD card on order since the monitor rotates. More games I miss playing including a back in the day favorite...Eagle.

Those repros of Mega Turrican look nice.
Is there an official Mega Turrican for the Japanese Mega Drive?

And that KACHO figure is hilarious!

Thanks, yeah unfortunately there isn't an official Mega Turrican MD release in Japan. That's why these repros fill that void in my import MD collection so nicely :)

There's also no Super Turrican 2 officially released on the JPN Super Famicom. But I'm working on that one... will have a custom box, instructions, etc etc

Apart from all the cool stuff StealthLurker has, he must be a book of knowledge when it comes to collecting. Half of his stuff I'm was not even aware existed :P

Cool gets!

Just browse Yahoo Japan and you'll see a lot of the stuff.

Yesterday I bought these two. Both are NOS and so begins a NGPC collection

That is a good start! Congrats on NTM, one of my favorites for the NGPC. Just don't only collect, play the shit out of that console - so worth your time, anyone's time in fact.

Of course, I said "collection" but my intention is to play each game I buy and not only collecting and putting on a shelf :glee:

Damn the Amiibos come in such nice packaging, is there a way to open it without ruining it? I'd love to display my Marth figure when it arrives, but I don't want to destroy the packaging.

Sure there is. You use a heat gun to separate the clamshell from the cardboard backer. There may be tabs that wrap to the back that are taped. I personally just slice the plastic shell on the top and sides, leaving the bottom as a hinge. Only worth doing on figures you will eventually sell... Otherwise just buy a second to open.
