I need to go back and spend some time with MKII, hard to know if it's just my rose-tinted glasses but I seem to remember MKII feeling pretty good to actually play and some pretty interesting combos for some of the characters... Mainly Katana and Melina if memory serves correctly.

What a great record! I love their affiliate Jugga the Bully. His features across many Cunninlynguists releases are ace. Kno is a monster on the beats…really underrated.

Picked up a little board and cart for $86 shipped on Facebook. Now I have two carts!

Actually the yellow cart is my modded 'all-in-one' I got shortly after getting the cab. It has a complete Neo library with just KOF2000 and Garou having slight jank issues. It had a little label maker 'all-in-one' label but I peeled it off, this cart label itself actually looks pretty nice (especially when compared to the original Banana cart).
The blue one is a regular unmodded 161v3. Actually kinda nice to have both. I wasn't going to pay the $150-200 the carts have spiked to since becoming unobtanium, but I'll probably keep it around because it works with PickNMix on my Unibios so I can leave it in there and it will cycle any game attract mode. The modded cart has to either stay on a single game attract mode or the static menu. Very cool feature, I know I'm 5 years late to the party, but great work @Razoola .
The board is an MV-1A. It's in reasonably good shape, a little dirty but not disgusting, missing a couple PCB feet and screws. The battery has been clipped out, there seems to be one repair that I don't think is factory on the bottom right, and the non-original bios seems to have 'ub' written on it so thinking it might have a Unibios.
I know this one is JAMMA edge so I shouldn't plug it into my Big Red. Maybe order a converter from JNX to test it out, although I'm probably not looking to keep this, just sell it off, recoup some money and end up with a basically free multicart.

The screen has been the biggest issue.
The console works perfectly fine, other than a few times the CD wouldn't eject.
But the boxed sharp screen didn't work, and we've been fighting with it for a while now, and finally we got one working with a few parts from this medical unit thing. I bought this on ebay just to steal the screen.
Here's the inside of the car marty , it's almost like new.
But there's a few caps that didn't look great... Almost kind of similar to my laseractive pac caps, he's much better than me soldering wise so he's changing the caps for me right now.
As soon as I get it back ( last picture is the car I'm thinking of putting it in) right in front of the shifter.

It wasn't working 100%, only half the screen was working almost like it got sat on.
It's been " fun " to try and diagnose problems, I'm not that good without some sort of manual troubleshooting guide. But what makes this difficult as it's obscure and not very well documented.
Yahoo auctions are bad for me I wind up buying dumb shit like this.
