I'm really tired of how the media framed the bill which was to make "background checks mandatory on online sales" because without actually explaining how online sales worked, the implication was that you could simply buy a gun online and have it shipped to your house, which is patently false.

I will always remember the joy of arguing with disarmament folks after the Sandyhook Shooting about how it was "too easy" to buy guns and there's "insufficient" background checks while, at the same time, going through the paperwork bullshit of purchasing my family's Christmas gift to me of my Savage Axis last December. Oh, how I laughed and laughed...
