I respect the challenge that it presents to developers, like GG Aleste 3 from M2. Retro games irritate me, because they're largely designed that way to reduce cost and/or hide talent deficiencies, but releasing games that can run on actual hardware, even if they're digital, is more compelling.

if the cart is NOT distributed by Limited Run Games, then I'll actually buy a copy.

If not, well, I don't have anything against buying the rom. I've done that here and there with other indie releases.
