I wish that I had more information regarding this, but I'm just watching from the sidelines wondering if I should order one of these since they seem riddled with issues and little support for the price. I'd suggest replying with this pic in the T.O. discord to see what other owners reply with.
Do you have an AES or MVS? I think you'd be fine if you buy from SAG. They seem to be pretty good abut returns if it didn't work for you. I may be lucky, but after disabling the in-game hooks I haven't noticed any issues (I have an MVS).

I don't follow the discord, but does there seem to be more issues with the AES than MVS?

I was just speculating that the AES has more problems due to aging power supplies. Those power supplies are getting a bit old and can cause a lot of strange issues. I know most people say not to get aftermarket power supplies. But, I think, if you get a good one, that they are better than the aging original power supplies. I had several issues with systems using the orignal power supply that went away just by getting a decent replaccement. I haven't looked specifically at AES power supplies, I just know that I've had good luck with the TriadMagentic power supplies form Console5.

Just a thought.

I have an AES which unfortunately, SAG does not have a pre-order for. There is still the option to pre-order the Neo SD Pro directly from Terraonion but I'm waiting out to see if the issues get fixed first. I could also use an MVS cart through the Furrtek adapter, but I'd rather not for aesthetics.

It would be great if Krikzz or Furrtek himself made a Neo cart.

Yeah, I have been holding out to see if Krkzz was going to make a NeoGeo cart. Not saying it isn't happening, but with the non-confirmation, I decied to go with the TO option just to have one. Not saying it is FOMO, but I have a soft spot in my hearrt for the Neo the needing filling! :)

Are these clowns going to provide the same level of quality and customersupport for that upcoming Vengeance Hunters game?

I remember seeing somewhere this does not work with the NeoSD. I'm not 100% on that though.
Yep, that's correct. The MVS NeoSD Pro does not work with the Furrtek converter, or likely any converter. The menus come up scrambled, and it behaves as if loading games, but the games don't load.

There are certain Aes consoles that do not play nice with AES pro. There is a specific firmware update that fixes it. It's been a long time and I sold my pro awhile back. I did not have the same issues with the regular NeoSd. Good luck contacting customer support to get this issue fixed.

Did you try removing the pcbs from the cart and plugging them in directly to the console?
Where can you download that special firmware? thank you

The latest version of the firmware should already include it. He's talking about a much older issue.

@RAZO I think maybe you sold me that 5v AES that you had the NeoSD Pro issues with? It has been working fine with my NeoSD Pro for years now other than the sometimes glitchy menus.

Bummer. Not a whole lot of choice out there these days.

The firmware version I have is this NeoSD PRO firmware 1.07 R08 and I have had it for more than 1 year, is there nothing new or beta?

When I load games in slot 1 of the RAM, the games have small graphic errors in the form of black pixels, if I load them in ROM they are perfect, how can I solve it? I have aes serial 11.xxx with a brown plate, could it be a voltage problem? Would I have to remove the brown plate? If I remove it, will the RGB quality drop? Is there any tutorial on how to remove it? Would it be simply removing the quartz and soldering it into the hole for its place on the motherboard? Or do I have to do something else? Thank you!!

That's the same problem a lot of people are having. Return the cart. Don't tear apart your console.

I don't know if they have different firmware for each version (AES/MVS), but I'm on 1.08 R9 (For my MVS). So, you may want to check TerraOnions support site for an update.

Sounds like you have an AES, you might try the settings posted here (See picture):

Additionally, try turning off the in-game hooks (In-Game Trigger and In-Game Menu). Turning off the In-Game Menu, worked on my system for the RAM slot.

Good luck!

I spent the afternoon testing my NeoSD Pro on 4 different MVS motherboards : MV2F, MV1.1, MVFZ and MV1B.
Long story short, it seem to be working perfectly on the MV1B but had different level of problems on all 3 others (from the menus being just unreadable glitches to game crashing).
So, it means the cart might actually work perfectly but on very few boards.

They haven't even sorted out all the problems of the current batch and they're gearing up for more?

Unfortunately it probably can be considered the same batch. It says these are shipping in a few days?

Thankfully the MiSTer exists. It has proven to be an extremely accurate Neo Geo simulation. More accurate than even the NeoSD.

I have yet to find a case where it's not accurate.
Yes, it's very good, and there's a great community supporting it. It is accurate as far as anyone is able to tell. However, NeoSD does run on real systems.

Sure. But as you well know, it doesn't fully emulate a real cart.

I randomly stumbled across the stoneage gamer pre-order and took the plunge. At least it can be returned if it's defective. Also, Alex from Terraonion is on vacation for what seems like the summer, and I did not see anything regarding taking over support duties in the meanwhile.

That's a good idea. How much did it set you back in total if you don't mind me asking?
I may do the same.
