They are probably putting in firmware for planned obsolescence to drive people off.

hahah that wouldn't shock me at this point - I can hear them at Sony speaking in Japanese, "WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE!!!???"

It’s not like it’s still not supported. As long as ps3 and vita games are available on psn, Sony can do whatever it wants. Hell, they’ll probably make a killing in digital sales when they announce they’re no longer going to sell for past platforms.

I really enjoy my Vita. I hacked it not long ago and it's opened it up to a lot of things. I still pick it up and play from time to time. :)

My brother still uses his Vita almost nightly to remote play Monster Hunter World before bed.
It does require a good wifi connection, but he was saying the video lag doesnt impact the input.

I have a few PSTV's I bought back when they were cheap. I keep one stock and hacked one of them and totally agree, it opens up a whole new world. I've yet to find a good source for finding actual Vita games to dump on it. But in terms of PSP and homebrew and emulators it's pretty great! I just like having a PSP essentially hooked up to the TV.

It's better than the PSP with component cables setup, too.

Nice sale going on at Play-Asia still - that Super Robot Wars V is a must-have

Sidenote: I picked up Genkai Tokki - The Seven Pirates the other day for like $15. Played it for about an hour last night and it is honestly, more polished graphically and more impressive than the other Compile Heart dungeon crawlers. It's also super import friendly. All the moon runes are accompanied with logical icons so you can navigtate menus no problem. In-game maps are crystal clear where you should go next. So, if anyone was curious about this one but scared to import, I wouldn't be. It is more pervy than I was expecting, even for Compile Heart. There is a crafting system to make new armor (read: bra and panties  ) that I am still kind of figuring out...but I think it's a rad little game so far if you are into that stuff. It's definitely a combo of the previous games and Neptunia, but I kinda' dig that.

Picked up Super Robot Wars X during the sale a few weeks back. If you don’t have it or V and like strat RPG’s at all they are must haves.

Totally agree, the amount of content is staggering and the presentation is so fucking slick. I'm semi close to finishing V and looking forward to X one of these days. I still wanna get through some of my JRPG vita backlog fisrt though.

I've fallen out of love for the Vita....and have been unloading my library on a local classifieds site. Fortunately for me I'm using the funding to potentially build up a tiny MVS collection... hopefully :)

That said I really don't know why I've lost interest in my Vita. I find games on the system aren't unique enough and most games you can experience on the Vita can be had on the more powerful PS3 and PS4.

The opposite can be said about the 3DS. Originally I chose the Vita over the 3DS but at the moment I've been enjoying my 3DS even more now. Actually bought a few refurbished 3DS on Nintendo's site.

From everything I've seen...yes

I managed to snag both the LRG cash grabs this last friday Damascus Gear and the "sequel" or whatever it is that could've all been on one cart. [facepalm]

I like Damascus Gear though
