I decided to play some NGPC and settled on Dark Arms, which is a game I never actually played much of (maybe a few minutes ages ago...) or owned before. But while I could play Cardfighter's for the hundreth time, I opted to do something different.

I put just a little over an hour into it and am kind of intrigued by it so I looked up reviews on it (here and a general google search) and folks seem to be very favorable towards it; many even listing it as a favorite on the system.

A bit too early to say anything decisive about it, but I was definitely digging the vibes (sound/look) and the gameplay seems fairly unique for its time, if not a bit repetitive, but I can be into that sometimes.

I have completed it when it was first released. I remember liking it but can't really recall any details.
Same here. It had a very unique vibe and gameplay style I recall. Also dope music.

I made weekly trips to an electronics store by my office and if ANY new NGPC carts popped up, I'd just buy them. Good times.

Played this for a few more hours and I'm into it.

Fiddling around with all the weapon options is pretty interesting and the story has the right amount of localization jank to be endearing even if it is also confusing/awkward. The graphics are quite nice for their time and the music fucking slaps considering the limitations of the sound chip.

i sunk a lot of time into this game, but it took a few tries to get going. It's a lot of fun once you get over the introduction. Got stuck in the end and I could never find one of the witches or puzzle pieces or something. Ran around in circles for ages before I gave up. It was one step before the final boss.

I bought it when it was brand new and completed it in a couple of days. The I upgraded my weapon to some insane organic big thing and called it a day. Never went back to it. I remember liking it a lot more then Biomotor Unitron. Which was the other one I played from start to finish back then.
