This process is moving glacially, but I finally have my first GI Joe X Transformers displayed. I finally assembled a Detolf I had bought several years ago over the holidays. Way back when this Megatron was released and the Bumblebee was announced, I grabbed the matching HISS and AWE Striker retro releases from Walmart (I wish they had done the Thunder Machine, Triple-T, and Mobat now). Literally years later, I've bothered to start opening them.

This picture shows every damn fingerprint, wire, and piece of dust, but at least the first shelf is done:

Megatron HISS.jpg

I still have Bumblebee, Soundwave, and Kupp to do. The worst part will be putting the decals on the AWE Striker. Now I know why my parents hated Christmas days in the 1980s.

I'll share more as there is something to show, while I await the Optimus Prime release (which I don't think has technically been announced).

So much plastic. It’s a $300 GoBot. Miss the diecast metal days.

Unfortunately with the engineering nowadays it's near impossible to have much more diecast. My friend still moans about masterpiece not having any despite it not for about 24yrs of the 25yr run.

(not my image)

I finished the main body of a Gundam Exia model as my first RG. It was a fun build and this bot I think actually looks really good. Still need to finish the weapons and sticker application/panel lining, but it was fun.

Still need to finish my MG RX-78-2, I've only built the core fighter (flyer?) and the trunk/head. Also Ive got a small backlog of HGs but I think I'll move to a Death Scythe once Im done here. Ive still only gotten about 3 episodes into the OG Gundam series so the only bots I recognize are the Zakus and the RX782. Still, its relaxing to do while the wife is listening to her Bailey Sarian podcast.

This is another reason why the new Missing Link line is so badass imo. Has all the oriiginal die-cast areas plus close to masterpiece articulation. Did u see the Arcee proto pics yet? Someone showed what the figures box art of Sunstreaker & Cordon Diaclone was going to be. Looks amazing, iirc it's the original artist that done Diaclone & Tfs in the 80's. M.L Sunstreaker figure art looks killer.

Yeah, even the mpg line is including prototype add-ons, having the dianauts with the original car robots is chefs kiss.

It's crazy they're releasing unreleased G1 stuff
They even matched the feel of the cardboard and styrofoam for bumble and cliff

Megatron transforming into a H.I.S.S. is the most not gay Transformer of all time that isn't a Dinobot.
