I've had a blast with it and I'm still using it weekly.Hey Joe, you still playing? I'm starting to get the itch over one of these, couple of months in, do you still think it's worth it?
I've spent a lot of time playing PSVR, even though I'm prone to motion sickness. There are enough quality games that the novelty hasn't worn off years later.
Games where your character is stationary are the best choices to start out. There are a lot of puzzle games, point & click storytelling games, and rhythm games available that don't bother me at all. Work your way up to games with limited movement and just close your eyes during on-rails motion sequences like ladders. I still get incredibly sick with free roam/fps VR games but those bother me on the tv too. A lot of vr games have free demo versions so you can give it a motion sickness test before buying anything.
Ginger helps with the motion sickness too.
It's weird how it works.Vomit update - I'm getting steadily better, I played 2 rounds of walkabout golf with no issues today, half an hour or so of play, that's easily the best I've done so far.
Pro tip - this isn't going to be a surprise to anyone, but I can confirm that playing whilst boozing makes the nausea worse.
Ginger is supposed to help a lot against nausea. Like those ginger sweets or simply ginger tea before gaming. Also: don’t push through when you fee nausea coming up, just quit. Hopefully you’ll grow your vr-legs in some time.Vomit update - I'm getting steadily better, I played 2 rounds of walkabout golf with no issues today, half an hour or so of play, that's easily the best I've done so far.

UEVR is supposed to work well for most Unreal Engine 4 and 5 games.Wish i saw this thread before. I love vr games! I have the Quest 3. The games are not all tech demo's. There's a good multiplayer shooter that has complete mods for Star Wars Battlefront, Halo, Team Fortress,... and these mods feel just like the real game but in vr complete with a full body and arms. There's some good tactical shooters out there. I'm very much in to Iron Rebellion lately, a mech game where you use buttons and switches in the cockpit for ultra immersion.
There's also an amazing modding scene for the Quest system. Team Beef makes ports of all kind of retro shooters making them playable in vr:
Star Wars Jedi knight 1,2
Doom 1,2,3
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
Duke Nukem 3D
Redneck Rampage
Quake 1,2,3 (Quake 3 is able to play multiplayer against mouse 'n keyboard)
Tomb Raider 1 (yes in first person or 3'd person if you wish)
Heretic
Hexen
Half Life 1
I'm probably forgetting some
Just look up Sidequest and Team Beef.

VR sickness seems to be a thing of the past, fingers crossed, and I'm off and running.
Walkabout golf really is great, I'm playing a fair bit. I'm even watching the tournaments on youtube - fully down the rabbit hole at this point.
I've been itching to try out some irl techniques off the back of thisIt's significantly improved my IRL miniature golf. Not that I'm an avid golfer, but I've done PuttShack a few times. I think most of that is because I play the safe shot and not try to sink it immediately, which is usually how I win in Walkabout. Par or Birdie is better than wasting shots trying to get the quick win.
