I say the same thing about people who pay 800 dollars for the same game they can buy for 60 on MVS. BTW "ports" can be "perfect", every Naomi Dreamcast port I have is better than the arcade version, because it looks the same and they add shit to it.

Neo Geo is a Genesis on speed, anyone who thinks no system can handle it's games is a "dumb fuck". CPS2 is MORE POWERFUL than MVS, and the Saturn did perfect ports of it's 3 craziest games, Zero 3, MSHvSF and XvSF. You COULD NOT do those games on an MVS.

SNK were the only ones to blame for their BAD Saturn ports, the sound effects sounding like ass were their own fault, I mean hell it's a CD based system with more advanced sound than an MVS, all they had to do was rip the fucking samples from the arcade game.

It's pretty simple why SNK's ports sucked back then, because they had thier own CD system, and if they made perfect ports on other systems who would buy the CD and Home versions? No one.

CASE CLOSED.

Now fran go get your muff waxed.

Just one question. I love the Neo Geo, I love other systems as well, but some people are biased to the AES/MVS and some say ports are good becuase they cost a fraction of the price. What will happen when the next KOF,FF,MS,and LB come out on other systems and not on AES/MVS? What will the people who are AES/MVS biased say? What if there were no Arcade versions and it went straight to PS2 or GC because Arcades are becomming less profitable by the day? What if, what if, what if?

Well gee, that would be exaclty what I've been wanting to see!

If I could get a new KOF or MOTW or whatever Neo game developed just for the PS2 or XBox (sorry the GC controller REALLY throws me off for fighters!) then I'd be estatic. I'd have the damn thing pre-ordered so fast it's not even funny.

All I want are new characters, or old characters w/ re-done modern sprites. Better moves, new combo's and animations. All in beautiful 2D bliss. Now is the time to do it, especially if they would build it from the ground up to have online support, but that's another dream!

Peace

The GC controller is great. I know that some people have trouble with the configurations...

but once you get used to it... it is very easy. I think it would be ideal for combinations :)

Good one line posts fran. Are you that pissed cause the games will sell that much more on the evil "mainstream" systems?

I swear, you want your 2 frames of animation back from the character select screen? Or the .5 seconds of sound delay on some moves? Or is it the 5 seconds of loading time?

Sure it's not the same thing, but at this point you're arguing that it's worth $500 to get all that stuff on cart. That's called being a fanboy.
I could care less about that stuff. I'm going to buy KOF2k1 when the port comes out to support Playmore. I don't need it to be perfect, I already have the ROM for that. I'm just sick of beating the dead horse that is the MVS/AES. They can't do much more on this system and I want new releases for KOF and such. I'm being realistic, not a fanboy, that's the difference between you and me.

Peace

Bottom line on ports:

1.) They are more accesible to the average consumer than home cart/MVS versions.

2.) They're not perfect, but they're pretty good in their own right. My nephew doesn't own a Neo Geo, but he plays MOTW for the DC all the time and says that and KOF '99 Evolution are his favorite fighters. He's not quite as skilled as I am at fighting games, but he's pretty good and knows a good fighter from a crappy one. He hates the Marvel VS. Capcom series, for example, because it's tripe. Therefore, I can only deduce that my nephew knows a quality fighter when he sees one, regardless of the system he plays it on.

3.) Playmore will make more money by putting ports out, which means they can grow as a company and once again give us NEW games rather than ports of existing ones.

OK BIG QUESTION FOR THOSE OF U THAT SAID THAT? HOW DO U KNOW IF PS2 CAN DO IT OR NOT? THEY HAVENT EVEN HAD A RELEASE YET DUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR MORONS.but in the end i am a collector of all games not just neo. cuz there is life beyond neo just some of u have yet to see the light :D

YES! I think of this every time porting comes up. I own all 3 of those SF games on Saturn and I also have KOF '97. It's like 2 totally different systems. SNK really should have used the 4mb cart.

Also, the PS1's versions of XMvsSf and MSHvsSf suck nards.

Gee, I should have kept my big mouth shut about that fukn tech stuff.

I'm just interested in it. Still I regret to have caused this lame debate.

I own all the fukn carts scheduled to be released on some of the other consoles, so basically, I shouldn't give SHIT about a more or less lousy ports.

And the more I think of it, the more I do. First I found the news about the ports interesting, that's why I posted in here. But now... well...

It's this kind of crap which bugs me to no end, it's always the same, and I admit I should have known better. Ppl get ridiculed for buying AES carts - what kind of bullshit is that?! I'm not against ports in general, but this AES bashing gets more and more annoying.

I would expect this shit on a ps2 or gc forum, but not here. I guess some of the ppl here should seriously think about why they're still a ng.com member.

Your just a stupid neo fanboy fran, MOTW on DC has extra features added, the same graphics and animation, only bad thing is the voices are a little off, who cares, I much rather have my 30$ MOTW on DC then MOTW on neo, your a collector, not a "real" gamer. Sounds to me that the only reason you like MOTW better on the AES is because of the cosmetics of the pretty case that you get with the AES version.

hehe that 5 seconds loading is a bit long, it's more like 1 second, and I don't even notice it at all.

frans just made because her homecarts are looking like enron stock right now.

The only reason he likes AES better is because of the inserts, and because those big cases take better collection pictures. <img src="graemlins/tickled.gif" border="0" alt="[Tickled]" />

fran, you dont even own a dreamcast anyway.

you have no idea what you're talking about.

have you ever even played the goddamn game? or do you just listen to every other one of the fucking fanboys that cant get it throught their head that neogeo IS NOT FUCKING ALL POWERFUL.

again, i dont care if you buy homecarts. but i do care that all you fanboys are pushing your neo-cart 'l33t-ness' a bit too fucking far.

take off the neo-goggles and smell the coffe, theres more to gaming than neo, a hell of a lot more.

I'm very excited to hear that MS3 will be ported over to the PS2!

I already own the AES version, but will pick this game up on PS2 any way.

Most of Neo ports to the PS1 were pretty bad. But, I've never seen a Neo game ported over to the PS2. I'm very interested to see how it turns out.

If this game sells well, we may see more 2D titles in the future. I personally would love to see something similar to the Namco and Atari classic arcade game collections, but with SNK instead.

1) NG.com member is a person who play & buy legit Neo/AES/playmore games (no ROM)

2) NG.com member is a person who loves Neo game and buy what he can afford

So let see what kinda NG.com member we have in here:

-showing off his/her collection
-bragging about how many MS AES copies or rare titles he has in hand
-never play AES game but just display it on the shelf
-showing others that he can pay $1000+ for one AES title

WTF

I'm a Neo gamer coz I own AES & NGPC games
I buy DC, PS2 and GC port of Neo game if I can't afford $300 + title

period

If there going to put MS3 on the PS2 they might as well make it a trilogy thing. Put MS 1, 2, and 3 on the same disc. The PS2 can handle it and if it cant then thats totally retarded. Maybe even add Metal Slug X in too, that be kool.
