If you go out and buy a huge Ford Expedition SUV with a V10 Engine, you can't return the vehicle later because it gets crappy gas mileage. I never pay money for a product which I am not familiar with. If the seller did in fact see another Metal Slug 2 auction which sold for over $1,000 and then say this one for $450, he should've either e-mailed Kenny as to why it was so much cheaper or he should've looked into why it could be cheaper. I've seen what looked like really good deals on eBay before too, but I never bid on them without looking into it first. There's absolutely no justification on the buyer's behalf to get out of an auction simply because he didn't bother to look into it first. My God, he spent $450 on this item and is upset because it's got flaws when compared to other units of the same item which sell for much more? I mean come on, that's just ludicrous. Deep discounts always have a reason for being so. That's just simple general consumer diligence.

The minimum of diligence required does NOT include to :
-email the seller if the price is too low(! now that's really ridiculous)
-figuring out different meanings of the word conversion

Infact judging by the header and by the PICTURE(which BTW Kenny I know it is REAL picture of the item for sale, but that's is deceptive anyway without any watermark) a lot of buyers will be cheated by the auction.

I have see a lot of home carts auctions.
I thought it was the real deal as soon as I saw the auction.
With me,LWK and other experienced collectors.

So,when Kenny calls his auctions catchy, claiming he has no control on the bidders,I DO know the reason it went so high.

Unuseful again mixing up all personal experience you may have had with Kenny.

We are just trying to understand what someone paid so much for a:
FAKE-BOOTLEG slug 2 home cart

Kenny says the auction was a catchy auction
I say the auction was deceptive and I'm sure all elements are there to be seen if you will.

HONESTY and FAIRNESS are NOT synonyms

It looks real to me. I'm surprised no one mentioned that the buyer might pick it up just to sell it off at a profit as original later.

All these "what if" ideas... Guys, what if the buyer is happy with what he got? Could happen.

Don't thank me too much Kenny.

This whole 'I'm not really a price jacker' thread does not excuse your actions with that Stakes Winner home cart nor this thread here.

Personally I would have figured you would have learned your lesson about getting into this dramatic bullshit.

I've about had my fill of posting here overall due to the retardation of a lot of people here.

BK,

Just a little thanks for seeing that I wasn't being deceptive. I still feel the same way on the whole Stakes Winner bullshit, but that is not the issue.

Nothing deceptive about it.

FTL, it's quite simple, READ the descriptions. Don't start yakking about how it wasn't obvious enough or blah blah. All someone has to do is read carefully. At the end of the day, there is no one to blame but the buyer himself if that. But then again who knows, he or she might be content with it.

Don't keep trying to avoid that truth.

Simone has written several times its up to the buyer to read the description.

I would still appreciate an assurance from Kenny on my question several pages back as to how this cart is marked as a conversion to avoid it being sold on as an original in future.

Black Spy,

I will answer that question for you.

First let me say that Simone is only playing his cards this way to make me look bad. If this was a different seller (whom he likes), his story would be completely opposite. He would blame the buyer, no doubt.

The conversion is a great looking piece, but up close you can see that it was created on an ink jet. The insert is actually 2 seperate pieces of paper joined at the spine with clear tape. The instruction manual also feels fake and is a little washed out. The cart shell suffers from the "Korean" look; it's rough, unlike the official releases. Also, the shell is a bit more gray than black.

The cart sticker is also not as professional as an authentic.

Up close, anyone would know that it's a fake. But from a distance, it looks almost perfect.

If there's one voice we SHOULD listen to in this whole debate, it's this one.

You'll find no greater nemesis for scammers and rotten sellers than he and no larger defendant for the scammed.

To those who don't know Sonny, he's an incredibly valuable friend and will always look out for you, but woe to those who cross him.

As for Samhain, he's the shit. One thing you gotta understand is have a good scrap with him but at least be respectful if you do. After ours, we shook hands and now fuck each others girlfriends.

You may think he is simple-minded, but you have no idea yourself. Samhain will make your stay on this board an unpleasant one, so consider this a friendly warning from someone who has seen him in action.

Ain't it the best when she fondles your balls, too? I blow my load WAY too early when that happens.

Oh well, it's her face, not mine

BTW, bring GOOD LOOKING bitches this time to the Neo party if I'm supplying the beer. No way I'm getting it on with your mom again, no matter how much you like to watch ;)

NO.

It is clear to me when I look at the heading that it is a METAL SLUG 2 US SNK HOME CART..how DECEPTIVE!
That's a true scam, since the heading CAN and DID deceive a lot of bidders for sure.
It's bidder's fault you will say.

Of course, but how does the seller come out from this auction?
Give me a break and again and so surprised Charlie didn't point this out.
If I was a inattentive bidder,I would be SURE to be bidding on a REAL SNK home cart, judging by:
HEADING
PICTURE

Try to put up a Metal slug 2 US home cart with CONVERTED put clear in the heading.
Your auction will fetch the HALF of amount.

Grow up Kenny Boy,you do seem like Matt Semmer,16 years old.

... this because Kenny has this bad reputation... What if Neo Bomber Man did something like that?

Kenny is selling a game named Metal Slug 2, so the header is correct. Then he must state that his copy is a conversion (he also listed the problems it usually gives when playing!).

I don't see anything wrong here. Descriptions are made for people to acquire more and more informations about what the seller is selling.

Many times I click on an auction with a header like "XXX cartridge" just to realize it's a MVS.

Kenny

I have no problem with you and I deal with Simone regularly. I think your description is up to scratch but I think your header could have been better. I don't think people not reading is your fault though.

I was really just reassuring myself that there is no way I was going to be sold this as the real deal somewhere down the line.

Thanks

I know this is going to sound odd to some of you, but I think that Kenny Boy and a few others might understand that most of the flame here is about the fact this game is Metal Slug 2 US. A year ago, this game sold for an obscene amount of money, and one member gave quite a shit about the fact it sold so high. I just want to make sure that all the hubbabaloo is about this auction, regardless of what game is represented, and not the fact that it deals with a US Metal Slug 2.

What I know is that I have no patience for someone who contributes the kind of garbage to a thread that I've seen him put here. I know that anyone who knows the moderators here is exempt from the rules, but I'm sorry, I'm not going to sit back while he just hurls shit at me. I did that and I'd be banned, no question. I mean, is there any intelligent posting here anymore that's not just little babies throwing insults at each other? Geez, and people wonder why these boards aren't nearly as busy as they used to be.

He's a bit obnoxious. Just ignore him. Like when you see the poor bum with the urine filled spray bottle and the dirty rag, just drive by and avoid.

Contrary to what I say sometimes, I like this forum as well. I just think it would be a much better (and in the end, busier) place with the absence of certain...personality types. I can only imagine how many new users never post here because they're terrified they'll get flamed back to the stone age.
