I already grew up.

I studied a good amount of law cases in which you can see how cases of fraud can be judged in the courts by examining several facts, good to cheat a potential buyer.

Now in this case, your stating that I should be a neo geo expert and know what "conversion" mean.

Well, I have NO need to be an expert since I see:
1)CLEAR PICTURE of an original slug 2 home cart (or EQUAL and DECEPTIVE PICTURE WITH MANUAL)

2)CLEAR HEADER STATING:...SNK..

I write it again SNK

Now I have enough elements to judge it as an original home cart, since I do not know at all what "conversion means".

I'm not the one who should grow up sorry.

Your drivel is completely irrelevant. The only relevant item is what Kenny had done.

Yeah, I'm insulting everyone. No, I'm just calling Kenny out and the people who are too naive or stupid to figure out the truth.

btw, this sure is a heavy bandwagon. What three people. You're an idiot. You wouldn't know a logical argument if it hit you in your face.

Give it time guy. When people like FTL, Bar and Tarma show up on eBay who actually have money and a lawyer on their speed dial, we'll see people starting to get sued for not doing just that. Eventually, eBay will have to make their headers two or three lines long so that the entire auction description can be contained in there for the idiots who don't read past that.

Lets say the seller was "L33TNEOSELLZ" or something. Would you honestly think there was some king of confusion as to if it was original or a conversion? Since it does state it multiple times in the description. All a potentional buyer has to do it read.

I will freely admit it would be nice if the title said it was a conversion. But then again no one searches on ebay for "conversion". So it is in the sellers best interest to list things in the title that are commonly looked for, then list all the details in the description, since he has a limited amount of room in the title.

I see you reasoning on your stance, but I really think it is based more around the fact you don't like Kenny and his pricing.

At least you understand what I'm saying. This has nothing to do with Kenny and his pricing. Rather, based on past behavior by Kenny I'm simply not going to be naive enough to give him the benefit of the doubt here. This was no oversight but rather an intentional scam.

AGAIN:

It was written in the header:

SNK and it is not really the case(actually with current playmore's attitude towards bootleg this is already NOT a legit auction)

It was posted a picture that is the SAME of a original SNK Metal slug 2 home cart.

Those are VERY important element, for a LOT of buyers.
Try to enlarge your view.

Logical is hardly the word I would use to describe anything you've said here sir. You came in here insulting Kenny and that is all you're here for. What he supposedly did and the arguments behind both ends of that are the last thing concerning you. You are here to get yourself off bashing others, period. And as for the size of the bandwagon, I was not referring only to this particular thread, but the general stupidity that has begun to flood these boards all around. I remember when there used to be tons of great discussion around here. Now it's just mostly people like you, looking for reasons to gang up on others. It's really sad.

*Gasp* What, you mean we're not supposed to be upset when we're the victims of fraud? OMG, call the DA, call the President, thievery is legal.

You are a complete and utter MORON. In fact you're so dumb you don't even know you're a moron. Truly pathetic.

Get a life idiot. For starters, you were not the victim of fraud here. Secondly, what Kenny did was not fraud. If you have the capability to read the description of an auction and don't, then any purchases you make are of your own volition and responsibility. It's interesting that you're ignoring the post I put up earlier in response to FTL in which I made a lengthy legal argument about how not reading something doesn't excuse you from legal responsibility. If you can't make an intelligent response to one of my posts, but instead have to resort to insulting me constantly, then save your breath an go into the War Room will you?

One last item and I'm done here,

As far as I'm concerned,

Kenny is scum and anyone who supports him and agrees with him regarding events in this thread is in the same catagory

Hate me, call me what you will, but I'm right and you know it. I'm just glad I saw your true colors before I ever had to deal with you.

The thing that bothers me about this auction is something that FTL and TRIEU alluded to earlier. For all intents and purposes, this is a bootleg MS2 US home cart, with no distinguishing features from the original SNK version. The person who bought this can pass it off as an original with or without knowing it.

It may have been okay for assflounder to make this game if it never left his possession. However, the act of selling this game is unethical and a disservice to all NEO GEO collectors since it cannot be easily distinguished from the original.

It doesn't fit very well here.
We have a DECEPTIVE PICTURE and a DECEPTIVE HEADER.

SNK in the header..LIE

PICTURE looking as a real slug 2 home cart MISLEADING.

some folk might see 'conversion' as 'oh yeah, i know it's a conversion, an ARCADE CONVERSION, as i played it in the arcade'

it's common knoledge that games brought fom arcades are known to be 'converted to dreamcast' e.t.c

I deduct my first comment, when I first saw that I didnt think it was a conversion, I thought it was the real english version. That picture looks exactly like a real cart to me.

Plisken and LWK got the point.

When I saw the auction looked the real deal to me.
Period.

Plus,it is a lie stating SNK on the header.
It should have been written GARY S on the header.

Sorry Parallax A.,try to get your ideas and examples right.
The court would rule really in a different way this time.
And Ebay would do the same.

If you don't know what conversion means, that's what you e-mail the seller a question for. It's unbelieveable that you think that the seller should be responsible for bidding on an auction by an individual who is not clarifying things they don't understand. It's like buying a car and then suing the dealership because you didn't know how to drive! If the guy didn't know what conversion meant, he should've e-mailed Kenny.

2)CLEAR HEADER STATING:...SNK..

I write it again SNK

Umm...just because the game was converted doesn't mean SNK didn't still write it guy. I agree that conversions to some people are questionable, but SNK did still write the game. It still shows their name and (c) SNK Corporation at the title screen so putting that in the auction is not wrong in my opinion.

Auction description stating on more than one occasion that the item was a conversion: TRUE. Again, if you are stupid enough to bid on an auction based solely on the picture and title header, than you get no sympathy from me.

Again,no,not at all.

Like Plisken said,I can get "conversion" like a conversion from the neo geo arcade to the home neo geo console.

The word SNK get me to belive it is a genuine SNK product.

The picture FINALLY cheats me and I'm done.

Try to think about it and you will see why it is really an UNFAIR and DECEPTIVE auction.

FAIRNESS,what a value.

Now your putting it on a personal level?

I don't care about your sympathy.

The court I know would rule following my thesis

Done here and very late in Italy.

Again I'm just surprised that so FEW members do realize HOW deceptive the auction was,if not worse.

Kenny boy is a honest seller.
And a smart seller.
Tha why the auction ended so high.
Glad some members realized the reasons with me.

really you have to put it like this.

there are 2 men, um, 'jimmy and billy'

Jimmy owns a neo geo with slug 2 homecart. Billy gets jealous because he hasn't got one, and doesn't know where to get one. Jimmy suggest www.ebay.com !!

Billy signs up to ebay.com. He purchases a home cart system. Being new to ebay (you can tell by the winner small feedback record of only 14), he clicks on a Slug 2 homecart he wishes to buy. He reads description 'hmm, conversion. that's right, the original is the arcade release' Billy looks at the picture 'well, it must be the right one, it's looks exactly the same as Jimmy has, and it has official SNK logo' Jimmy bids, and wins. Jimmy is a happy boy!!! that is, if he doesn't care he has a Conversion, i.e made from other parts, not a 'home version port'.

I'm not offering you my sympathy. I am talking about any buyer who would bid on an auction without fully reading any descriptions and asking the seller and questions they thought was relevant. Those are the people who don't get my sympathy. What we are having here is a discussion/argument and as you weren't personally affected by the results of this auction, sympathy doesn't enter into it here.

Whoa... 6 pages... mad.

Personally I think that just putting 'conversion' or 'convert' in the description header would only lower his Andale count... As for the rest of it... Well, I'm not getting involved.

You didn't get what I mean.
First you constructed a good post, about legal reasons you was exposing.
Then when I wrote arguments to support my thesis you close your legal argument, closing the post talking about your sympathy for the buyer.
