Games as a whole looks almost as gay as the last guardian.

The last guardian is not gay. It's male on furry.

So, I figured out how to take pantyshots of Iris during that quest where you first meet her.

This is fucking amazing, I love so much that you've done this. I hope to god that you put this much effort into getting pantyshots for every game you play.

As for the game itself, I really truly want to like it: the combat is (usually when it doesn't break) a lot of fun, the exploration is cool, and the characters are actually surprisingly believable for a squeenex game. But those load times are abysmal, I might have to stop playing this game just because I see red every time a goddamn loading screen appears

The initial load is a bitch. Its on neo cd level, but then it never loads again unless you fast travel. I normally have to debate whether the drive time is faster thsn the load time. If its 4 min or less I just drive manual.

Beat the game this morning. Clocked in around 65 hours prior to tackling the post-game secret dungeon... my god, that thing's puzzles and platforming were brutal. Took me like 4~5 hours to do it.

10 is where it all started going down hill with that linear bullshit. I still play vii, viii and ix once a year. I would kill for another decent FF game.

There are plenty of decent FF games, they just don't call them FF anymore

7 is where it all started going down hill with that Nomura bullshit. I still play iv, v, and vi once a year. I would kill for another decent FF game.

I've gotta say, I while I enjoyed Final Fantasy XIII, I absolutely loved Final Fantasy XIII-2. It learned from XIII's mistakes with being too linear at the start and refined XIII's combat system to perfection. And the game itself is quite surprising...they basically gave us a Chrono Trigger-esque Final Fantasy game complete with time travel, alternate timelines, and a slew of alternate endings to be had. There was also a FFVII-esque casino and a battle arena.

Final Fantasy XV's story isn't much to write home about. There are some great scenes and set pieces, but the real "fun" of the game (for me, at least) was tackling the dungeons and killing crazy poweful bosses. I definitely didn't expect that. I normally play Final Fantasy games primarily for their characters and story.

You all are crazy. 9 is one of the best in the series, and 10,11,12, and 14 are all solid.

Actually i would say all main storyline FF games although they may degrade in quality over generations, they are still better than most the rpg games on those respective consoles. They're just not as good as 4 6 7 9

I finished the main game yesterday, and I can echo that FFXV has good gameplay paired with the most poorly written storyline in the entire series by far. Without providing spoilers, nearly all of the possibilities set up by Kingsglaive are left by the wayside and replaced with a de facto bad guy who acts randomly and doesn't have any motivations or plans. It's still a decent game because of the world and gameplay, but it's also a major waste in terms of what might have been with even half-decent writing.

So, I figured out how to take pantyshots of Iris during that quest where you first meet her. Square Enix went through a lot of trouble to make this as hard to do as possible. I posted about this on NeoGAF earlier today and triggered a number of people:

I also gained 15 minutes of internet fame from it:

Finally, for those of you who want to see what all the fuss is about, I uploaded a video of my findings:

New patched dropped today, but doesn't seem to do all that much really. I was hoping for them to fix the audio-mix issues. No consistency at all with the music, sfx and voice.

They should get rid of Chapter 13 altogether. That's got to be the worst level in a half-decent game I've ever played. Seriously, it's just bizarre how poorly-designed it is, feels like some random designer came up with it and the rest of the team was like "well, he IS going through a divorce and his dog just died so I guess we should use that shitty level he came up with."

And then Chapter 14 lasts 15 minutes and the ending is terrible.

When a FF game's writing makes FF XIII look coherent by comparison, you've got problems.

I'm keen to have Chapter 13 fixed rather than removed. Its good in concept, just not in execution.

I'm not sure about having the Regalia go offroad. I forsee that causing lots of issues with the terrain and trees that the game has. We have Chocobos and running on foot. I'm fine with that.

The PS4 Pro patch will be welcomed. I ran into occassional slowdown that was kind of annoying.

Having beaten it, I'm going to let this marinate for a while and then hop back into it later in the year once more content is out and issues are fixed. It'll make it ore fresh the next time I play through it. I'm also really hoping they'll add in a hard mode for New Game+.

As great (and needed) as that patch is, the PS4 Pro sounds like a jet engine the moment you turn on its extra processing capabilities.

If it's under warranty, you may want to get a replacement. Mine works fine (finished Rise of the Tomb Raider on 4K on it), but my friend had a similar issue with his OG PS4. He got it replaced.

So it sounds like FFVII Remake is having Kingdom Heart III-level issues. They're still working on the first scene of the game (intro through Shinra building bombing) - which is what they were showing off a year and a half ago at E3. They producer also said he doesn't know if they're even going to cover the entirety of FFVII within Remake.

My understanding with FF7:R is that they're going the Starcraft 2 route and releasing multiple chapters of the game, which each chapter having a full game's worth of content. That should allow them to cover what they need to cover.
