Since there are a few collectors in this thread who know their stuff, I have a little something here that I want to show you guys:

dc-flyer.jpg

It's a promotional flyer for DC, got it for free from a game store back then when the console was new. It's probably not worth anything (don't care about that anyway) but I always wanted to know what it really is about.

They should have never killed off Segata Sanshiro for that Sega salaryman.

ya I figured as much. Luckily I have a modded ps2 coming this week so I can actually try it out.

Awesome, you will have so much fun playing imports. Definitely check out more titles from that seller on ebay, don't be afraid to send him best offers he takes them graciously. If you are interested in JRPGs check out "Tales Of Rebirth"(he has it for $15, if you make an offer of $10 he will probably accept it) a great 2D action rpg that never made it here, there is a whole word for word translation guide available online that makes the experience very enjoyable. Cheers.

Don't really have too many odd or rare things though I've gotten many a arcade poster and arcade T-shirts that were only given away at trade shows. I'd say the rarest thing I own is the Gauntlet II contest T-shirt I won from Atari Game for completing the Secret Room task. If I can find it, I'll try and take a pic of it. Less than 500 are in existance from the contest.

I always wanted the T-Shirts they gave away from arcade game contests. I never had the chops to be able to submit a high score when I was a kid. I always wanted the shirt from Roadblasters and I think The Grid had a shirt that you could send in for.

I do have that RoadBlasters T-shirt (completing all the levels) as well as other Atari coded contest games like Toobin', Stun Runner and Vindicators.

I'll take some real pics with my cell later on.

I don't even know what that is.

It's a combo Megadrive/Mega CD unit with really cool sound options. S-video out is standard, but you have to mod to get RGB out (which I have not done).

The best part is that the CD door is motorized.

Also, thing is an absolute beast. It's big and heavy. Really cool to have out by your TV because it looks somewhat modern still (even though it is 18 years old).

I have some big promo boxes for GT4 and Smash bros Brawl and a Guitar Hero 3 stand up that was originally going to be a gift then got stuck in my basement.

I have the "not for resale" copy of sonic 1 seems more common than the copy that IS for resale.

Also the black dreamcast, but that isn't really that rare. Just awesome

Ah I totally forgot about what was in my closet.

Back when I worked at Target the Wii/PS3 were launching so they cleared out the GameCube/PS2 cases and put up these huge vinyl "Coming Fall 2006" hangings for each system...I managed to save them from the dumpster and have held onto them ever since.

No idea what they're worth but I thought they were cool. It was awesome walking past all of the people camping out for the PS3 with the huge prerelease sign though. :lolz:

I don't seek rare or collectible gaming stuff, so this doesn't even compare to the rest of these posts. I simply pre-ordered my most anticipated game of that year and bought way too much Nintendo shit. I had no idea the MGS bundle would be worth as much as it is now but I don't think the Game & Watch is worth anything really, just cool to have.

I've got a cool Majora's Mask poster which has the moon crashing into New York. The twin towers are showing and it has some sort of countdown going on. god only knows where I stored it though.

Here's a couple developmental kits for the Saturn

CartDev Rev B stacked on a Saturn

Awesome stuff. I have a soft spot for the Saturn.

Where did that Game & Watch Collection come from? I really liked that series from its Game Boy days. I didn't even know they'd made one for the DS.

Just how big is the original Wonder Mega? It's hard to tell from those pictures. I always figured it was around the size of the X'Eye.

It's from Nintendo's rewards program; https://club.nintendo.com/ . It was either that or some mediocre Hanafuda cards that are available outside of the program anyway.

I wish I had gotten into Arcades sooner so I wouldn't have spent so much money on Nintendo Games :make_fac:

Edit:
I bought enough Nintendo games to reach Elite status in the program. The prize for elite was a choice between a downloadable Punch Out game that featured a fight with the trainer Doc or a Mario cap. I chose the two games, G&W and Punchout.

Darn. I wish I could just go into a store and buy it instead. :crying:

That's really cool. Where was that from?

They only made 5100 of them. I got it from working at Gamestop...I had to beg for it, but I got it, box and all! I think only some stores got it and I think a few others got it who attended E3. Someone is selling on in the everything else section.
