I think it's obvious by the responses that NO ONE knows what the hell was going on in this movie.

If it helps, most of it is actually based on true stories....so I guess they just wanted to tell the story.

I found the synopsis interesting, but the reviews pretty much killed my interest. Still, I love that the military actually thought it was worth exploring.

As for the other opinions sprinkled throughout the thread, mostly LOL.

Though I also have a special dislike of Pay it Forward, saw it opening night while working on the road with a bunch of people. Oh man, you could practically taste the syrup. "Oh shit, duck --they're throwing the point at us again!"

On the flip side, the same work led me to see Best in Show on opening night, and that's one of my favorite movies of the past 10 years.

I'm with wasabi: Clooney has a slew of good movies. And he was in Return of the Killer Tomatoes alongside Gary Condit. So yeah.

See, I liked that movie. But everyone else I've ever met that's seen it said they didn't.

Its because they're idiots. :emb: (Okay, that's a bit harsh)

I liked that movie a lot --mainly because it didn't dumb things down and, acknowledging the the necessary drama to generate a compelling story, was pretty realistic. The comedy version would be Charlie Wilson's War, which is based on true events.

Though a corporate thriller, Michael Clayton was a good movie for the same reason --not a whole lot of bullshit.

Yea, Micheal Clayton was a great flick. I really liked the ending.

Has anyone here seen The Good German? I've heard bad things but to me it looks like it could be up my alley.

for Michael Clayton and Syriana. Clooney really shows the depth of his acting abilities in those.

And GGGR was boring. I had to watch it because my boss's brother produced it. Meh.

I was looking forward to this movie.
Is it that bad? I'm a Jeff Bridges fan and conspiracies in general,
since this has to do with actual govt experiments I thought it would be fun to see.
