I was just watching... Bridge Of Spies... and then I read up on Rudolf Abel and it seems his significance as a Spy was the fact he actually got caught...

I was just wondering... what's the views on real life spies and their effect on the world...

Crowley was a double agent. Some say that Thelema was a front, but I think he was a true believer in black magick. I don't think being a British spy and bring a magus are mutually exclusive roles.

When I think of real life spies who have made an impact on history, I always think of that guy who shot industrialist Hugo Drax out of a space station. I think his name was Moore.

Then I think of John le Carré, because he changed the world by writing some good novels.
