There are a couple versions of Batsugun (original and special). Last time we ran both versions and had different score lists. Up to you though.

I'm not aware of any different versions or region differences in 19XX. But I'm not an expert on it.

Think it was stage 5?, Sancho Pedro's level. Tons of room for improvement, been quite a while since I've played it. Did great on level one and okay on level two, need to really speed up my boss clears after that.

Thanks for the reminder. For the people using MAME, please try to stick to the regular version, i guess it's the same as the Saturn version.

Decided to throw this fucker into the Blast City and see what I can do. 1st credit was around 300k, so much improvement is necessary.

Question(s) about the charge shot - how does it work? I've heard there are different levels of charge? Do you have a limited number of these, or can you just spam them? Is there some sort of indicator on screen I'm missing?

Ok I did some Googling and found this: http://capcom.wikia.com/wiki/19XX:_The_War_Against_Destiny

The charge shot is unlimited, and the duration depends on how long you charge it before releasing. Use the sound effect/glowing animation to tell if it's full charged or not. The best strategy is to use it against mid to large sized enemies as it locks on and keeps firing homing lasers.

I also learned that the bomb is chargeable - interesting.

Doing a bit better, I didn't realize you could charge bombs but I don't think it's helping me anyways.

Anyone know how to get Mido Chan or whatnot? The bonus item

Bit of an improvement here as well. Almost got that damn Sancho Pedro, but he took me out with his mega blast. :'(

Anyone know how to get 1UPs other than the extends? I'm getting an extra 1UP on some runs but haven't figured out what I did differently.

Some 1ups come from reaching certain ranks (the bonus screen between stages) instead of points. Part of the rank comes from quick killing bosses, another part from the kill percentage. Not sure the best way to do this though as I'm not good at quick kills yet.

A friend who owns the pcb informed me that collecting excess powerups of the same type gives incrementally more points the more you collect.

The bonus item appears when you shoot a certain spot. On stage 3 and 4 about 15% of the way into the stage there are little ponds on the ground. You'll see your bullets hit an invisible target. Keep shooting and it will appear.

Those are the only two locations I know at the moment.
