The buying fills some emotional hole in his life. Then there's the gratification of ownership, which in his case is short-lived. And then he dumps them, and repeats the cycle with another console. And probably with some other non-video game collectables as well if I had to guess.

I don't think the dumping is based on financial worry, because I recall seeing in this thread that he sold a big stack of his neo games to a brick and mortar shop earlier this year. So he likely broke even at best, or possibly took a loss in that deal.

He seems to thrive on the attention he receieves via social media as well. Would he be doing this if he couldn't video and photo the process to share it with internet strangers? Somehow I doubt it.

Idk, the whole thing seems very unhealthy. But there are certainly much worse ways that people deal with their emotional issues, so whatever.

The guy is a veteran, nothing wrong with that but he’s got a foot/leg missing I assume from in the line of duty.

This buying and selling is just giving him an endorphin rush. In the same way a lot of people do with drugs, hookers and blow. I actually feel a small amount of pity for him.

It’s definitely sad AF, but doesn’t really hurt anyone. I doubt one chode’s antics is enough to actually make a movement on the price of neo games.
