Kula( no DM)- must be done in the corner:

Jump D->Stand C->F+A->qcf+A->qcb+B follow-up with F+B->DP+C.

Iori(near to the corner.Iori is in the right-hand side):
Jump Cross-over B->Crouch b->Stand b->F+A->BC->qcb+C(X2)->qcb+B->qcb+C(X2)- delay the last hit->maiden masher DM follow-up with qcf(X4)+AC

Some simple but effective combos:

Takuma (BC mode, in corner)

jumping A -> standing C -> hcb+B (cancel the 2nd hit) -> qcb+A or qcf,hcb+A/C (the DM does not really combo, tho you can catch careless opponents with hit. 4 + 10 hits, 1 stock.)

Seth (normal mode)

standing C -> standing A -> b+A -> qcfx2+A (8 hits, one stock.)

Orochi Chris (normal mode)

standing C -> f+A -> qcf+A -> qcb+C or qcb,hcf+C (4/4+1 hits, one stock if you end the combo with the DM.)

well takuma is all about tapping (i.e cross D, cBx2, cA, DM/SDM or cross D, cB, stand B, f+B, DM/SDM). i never seen a fancy seth combo either but chris has lots of cancelling combos.

here's one - jump D, C, BC, C, hcf+B, dp+C, DM (cancel on 3rd hit) - 3 stocks.

i see you are not a wasteful person ;)

Yeah, Takuma's pokes... somehow, I can't bring myself to playing him that way in 2k2, his new moves spoil my feeling... hard to explain...

Seth is not a good combo chara IMO, but his moves have good priority and his reversals can be very annoying. Anway, this guy lives off of his standing/crouching C, the cheesy f+A tackle, the speed of his close kicks and his very useful standing D... I also use his head stomp (qcf+B while in air) and the sliding quite a lot, specially in BC mode where you can do all sorts of mean cancels from it.

Most ppl hate Seth tho... personally, I don't really love his design, but I can use him quite well I think.

Seth is quite broken, heck you can even add a sD after his kicking DM (juggle).

Kim:

jD, sC, QCB+B, (super cancel) QCF QCF+K, BC, (juggle with)QCB*3+C, (super cancel), air SDM.

jD, sC, BC, sC, QCB*2+C, cancel into QCB+D, (charge down) cancel into D U+D, Do follow-up (dwn+D).

sB (2-hits), dwn dwn+B, (supercancel) QCB QCF+K

(charge dwn) cA, D U+D, (supercancel), QCF QCF+K, then follow-up with whatever your heart desires (like doing another D U+D and supercanceling it again if you have the stocks).

Ramon(opponent in corner):

Jump D->stand C->d/f+B->DP+D follow-up with DP+D and then d,d+C->supercancel into his hcb(X2)+A/C DM or his qcb,hcf+B DM.
Good damage!

K'(opponent in corner):
Jump D->stand C->BC->stand C->F+A->qcf+A follow-up with F+A->juggle with his qcf,hcb+AC SDM(chain driver).

Maxima's simple, yet effective and damaging combo:

Jump D->stand C->qcf+A(after 2 or 3 hits)->supercancel into his bunker buster DM.

Kyo(opponent in corner):

Jump D->stand C->d/f+D(1 hit)->BC->qcf+C,hcb+C->cancel into his qcf(X2)+D->hcb+B->supercancel into his Orochinagi SDM.

K':

cB, cA, QCF+C, F+D follow-up, juggle with any DM.

[corner] jD, sC, F+A, QCB+B (cancel into follow-up quickly), (juggle) DP+A, (supercancel) QCF QCB+P

Kyo:

jC, sC, QCF+K (2-hits), (juggle) HCB+D, (juggle) QCF+A, QCB+A follow-up (will miss), HCB+K follow-up (Kyo will pick up the opponent off of the ground).

jC, sC, F+B, QCB QCF+P (timing crucial)

sB, cA, DwnFwd+B (1-hit), BC QCF+A, (cancel) QCF+C, keep on doing this until you can cancel only one more time, (cancel into) RDP+B.

Vanessa:

jD, sD (chrage back), B+F+A, QCF+B, (juggle) QCF QCF+P

QCF+B, A follow-up, QCF+D, (juggle) QCF QCF+P

[corner] jD, sD, F+A (1-hit), DP+A, (juggle) QCF QCF+P

O.Chris:

jD (optional), sC, F+A, QCB QCF+P<-- the only combo you'll ever need with him.

Maxima:

[Cross-up] jC, sA*3, DwnFwd+C, QCF+A (after 2 or 3 hits), (supercancel), grab DM/SDM <-- MAJOR damage if SDM

Yuri:

cB, cA, DwnFwd+B, QCF QCB+K

Lets keep this thread going.

Athena:
Jump D->Stand C->BC->stand C->psychic 9 SDM or the stronger HSDM version.

Jump D->stand C->DP+C->supercancel into her hcb(X2)+C DM or SDM-(add BC after stand C)

Choi:

Jump cross-over C(2 hits)->Cb->Ca-> far Stand a->qcf,hcb+B/D DM(choi's damaging combo without BC)

Robert:
Stand D->F+B->qcf,hcb+D DM

Stand D->fireball DM(weak A version)

Will add more later.

Joe

- (BC) f+B -> dp+B (cancel) -> qcf+B (3 hits)

You can also use a shortcut for this combo:

(BC) f+B -> qcfx2+B (the qcfx2 must be pulled off fast)

- standing C -> f+B (super-cancel) -> qcf,uf+D (10 hits, one stock)

- (BC) start tapping A while jumping -> qcf+A finisher (cancel) -> dp+B (cancel) -> qcf+B/D (6 to 8 hits)

- (BC) CD (cancel) -> dp+B (cancel) -> qcf+B (3 hits)

Kensou

- (BC) jumping qcb+A (cancel) -> qcf+A (cancel) qcb+A (6 hits)

- (corner) standing C -> f+B -> qcb+A (4 hits)

Surprise combo: jump into a b,d,db+D Ryuu Gakusai (super-cancel at the 2nd hit) -> qcbx2+A ... (2 hits, one stock and a rice dumpling)

More stuff... Mr. Bogard is quite pumped up in 2k2...

Andy

(corner) jumping B -> standing C (cancel at 1st hit) -> close hcf+A -> qcb,db,f+D (juggle, 12 hits, 1 stock, always use the D-version of the DM for maximum hits)

(corner, BC) df+A (2 hits, cancel after the 2nd hit) -> hcf+B (cancel in mid-air) -> qcf+B -> [N] C (8 hits, let the stick slide back to [N]eutral position after the air-qcf+B)

(BC) jumping B (start charging db) -> standing C (cancel at 1st hit) -> db,f+A (super-cancel) -> qcb,db,f+A (8 hits, 1 stock)

Does anyone know for sure wether it's possible to super-cancel Andy's qcf+A follow-up to his charge db,f+A Zan'ei Ken? I'm not sure, but I think I did that but cancelled into the qcb,db,f+B DM that didn't connect.

The full combo would read:

charge db,f+A -> qcf+A (super-cancel) -> qcb,db,f+K

Poor old-style is creaking...

takumaji, you should learn how to cancel into max mode (i.e o. yashiro jC, C, f+A, BC, ). while it costs an extra stock you can extend your combos a HELL LOT more and can cancel it straight to a SDM. plus, your gameplay will improve trumendously.

i'll add one.

A, hcf+A, jump D (when opp is at middle of screen), hop D (opp faces backwards), C, f+A, BC, C, f+A, hcbx2+AC.

The quick BC activation combos are very nice and powerful but they are also quite dangerous to use in "serious" matches, one mistake and your opponent gets a free combo ticket. Next, if you miss to super-cancel into a (S)DM at the end of your combo, the reduced damage of the BC mode doesn't really give you an advantage over your opp. I had a thread going earlier in this forum where I compared the damage of (longer) BC mode combos to normal ones, and in most cases you simply have to go for the big flashy (S)DM finish if you want to inflict considerably more damage than in normal mode.

Anyway, I definitely need to practise quick BC combos more because they look so good... :D

On a different note, there's a nice showcase of May Lee's quick BC/stance change combos in the "All about SNK" DVD set, they show the final rounds of a KoF2k1 tournament with a Korean and Japanese guy and I like how the Korean dude plays her. Do you know that vid? I always wanted to transcribe the combos he used and try it myself.

heh, if you can enter BC buffering during practice there's no trouble unless the sticks are not your "kind of condition" (it's an usual excuse, but it's real for me ;)).
i haven't the vid. and i'm not used to 2k1 may lee. i learned her in 2k2. try asking diavle. maybe he knows.

I am not a May lee user but She is damn powerful in 2k1'.Actually they toned her down a little bit in 2k2' and gave her different follow-ups but still effective.The strikers also help her a lot in 2k1' especially may lee(1 person) with 3 strikers.Her Crouch A is good and can be used a lot to start combos.

The coolest bit of the All about SNK DVD KoF2k1 tourney vid with May Lee is the super fast BC cancelling and ABC stance changes. In her 2nd stance (the one where she shows her back), there's a simple combo that seems to be part of the bigger BC combo of the vid:

(ABC) b+A (2 hits) -> crouching B -> df+B (4 hits)

At least the combo starts with that - have to try wether I can BC cancel anything in her 2nd stance.

I agree, she's really powerful if you play her right and she was the first (and basically the only one) of the "new KoF2k1 ladies" that I immediately found halfway useful.

Leona:

Jump D->stand D(1 hit)->BC->stand D->RDP+D->stand D->F+B->V-slasher SDM->opponent explodes before falling to the ground.
Cool damage.

Stand D->RDP+D->Cb->Ca->d,u+C(charge)

I have seen some crazy combo vid of leona turning into her orochi form and continuing the combo after the Stand D and BC cancelling.Requires a lot of stocks.

the only strikers she really needs is xiang fei and seth, that'll make sure u have another character, like K, who is also good with those two strikers.
