I have a 4 slot, all slot work perfectly accept slot number 1.It has mirrored graphics I think it might be the c-rom. My question is would it be easier to swap out one of the boards and if so which board top or bottom to remedy this problem or is there another fix. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Looks like one of the data switches is stuck. Do you have the big 4 slot (MV4) or the small one (MV4F)?

Since you have the MV4, you can probably get it fixed by replacing some 74 series logic chips. But you should start by checking for bad traces.

Are those 74 series logic chips located on the top or bottom board? I just want to know where to start
Thanks

On the top board, to the left and right of slot 1. You can do a cursory check by touch the chips with your fingers while the board is powered on. If any of them seem unusually hot, that's your problem chip right there.
