Embiid is starting out red hot. Might win a 2nd MVP.
The narrative that handed him the award over the more deserving Jokic last year will work against Embiid this year. The media wants Tatum or Luka; it's "their turn". It will take something superhuman from another player and/or injuries to those guys for someone else to win it.

Also don't forget that players can't win the award anymore if they don't play 65 games. Embiid has only managed that twice in 9 years, and he has never played more than 68. It will take an unusually healthy year for him to even qualify.

Personally I have Jokic, then Haliburton, then Embiid as my top 3 right now.

Through this point in the season

Jokic's player efficiency rating is the highest of any player in a single season of all time
Jokic's box plus-minus is the highest of any player in a single season of all time
Jokic's win shares per 48 minutes is the second highest of all time, behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's in the 1971-72 season

At the one quarter point he's having the best season of his career by a huge margin. Obviously there's a long way to go but if he keeps up this pace it's the best statistical regular season in NBA history.

He won't fuck you, dude.
mind your own business.

but no, I was just pointing out how much farther ahead he should be than anybody else in the MVP race because gummy brought it up. The gap between Jokic and the rest of the league is as wide now as it has ever been.

Jokic is the best player in the league... but by all means, keep getting easily triggered by people in this thread.

Seems like you're the one that's mad. All I did was post some stats.

But don't worry. I can find some more Jokic stats to post.

I found it hard to get all that excited about it right up until the point where we won, now it definitely matters and I've never said otherwise

Mavs v Lakers game this week, epitomizes why I love ball. Who else thought James had a chance to draw a foul at the buzzer?

*he drained the three-the right foul, + draining both shots…would’ve tied the game.

** Mavs ability to put three all the time as great

Twins homecoming with Nets vs Suns last night. They did a great tribute to them before the game started. I really, really miss them on the Suns.

Big 3 of Durant, Booker, and Beal as well. Suns lose again by screwing the pooch in the 4th quarter. Durant, as per usual, completely shrinks in the clutch. This team is not winning a championship.

Can we trade him back for the twins please?

Also, Draymond got hit with an indefinite suspension for straight up slugging Nukic in the face. About freaking time.

Draymond antic even get to his own teammates, they just don’t say shit cause they are on the same team . last season he cost them a few game with those techs in the last minute .

As for the suns they are not winning championship. Just a matter on time before durant get hurt or wants out . Thank god Beal and his albatross contract didn’t go to Miami !!

That trade between the clipper and thunders starting to show. As SGA is a stud and George is an injury bug . OKC is a fun team to watch . Remember Lou Williams saying loosing shai hurts alot as he saw how hard he work everyday in practice and know he will be a star in the league .

Ja Morant is back. The Clippers have 8 wins in a row and Mark Cuban won't be the majority owner of the Mavs. o_O

Cuban has full control of the team and nba operations , he is free rolling right now with the team that he paid $280 million for and sold a 51% stake for $3.5+ billions

Wonder why Mrs. Adelson bought the Mavs for such a high amount. Highly doubt they'll be moving to Vegas.

Suns now have a losing record 29 games in. Booker stormed out into the opposite tunnel after the game ended, with Ishiba running behind him. He was heard yelling at his teammates for their lack of effort during the game. Team is in serious trouble.

we'll trade you one lightly used Zeke Nnaji for Booker and Durant. Final offer.

He may be the most incompetent offensive player in the league. His first impulse whenever he gets the ball is to immediately throw it out of bounds. You'll love him.

According to the article online They might be able to get Texas to legalized casino gambling and that would be close to to Dallas as the Cuban brought a 100 acre piece of land near Dallas And they would build a casino/ hotel/event centre and move the mavs into it .
