Oh absolutely, I'm just sayin that he started off the same way, so its not the best example. Also, I honestly cannot believe Doc keeps getting hired. We know exactly who he his by this point.

Right... my point is that 2024 Kerr isn't going to deal with LeBron because he's an established guy who doesn't need to take any old job. 2014 Kerr probably wouldn't have either... he famously said "no thanks" to the Knicks before taking the Warriors job because their front office was a complete clown show.

The Lakers don't want a coach that will establish a method while Lebron is there. He is the one running that team on the floor, as shitty as he is at it, and he can openly defy any decision he doesn't agree with.

Lebron needs a coach that helped him elevate his game and who he respects enough to listen.

Remember when Mike was pissed off about losing Doug Collins? Phil came in and established himself as someone worth listening to. Also, Mike was still emerging at the time Phil got there. He still wasn't considered the alpha dog in the league at that time. Just a lethal scorer.

The Lakers don't need a mastermind. They need a babysitter. Someone that will have the authority to put the players in their place and the backing of the organization. Lebron has had his way too long, been allowed too many liberties and hasn't been punished or reprimanded (so far as we know) for any of the stupid shit he's said and done over the years.

He believes he is bigger than the game and has absolutely no humility at all. Who wants to take that on?

That is why Mazulla was able to work with the Celtics. The right mix of talent and coaches. It's really lightning in a bottle. That kind of chemistry and potential realized is not easy to come by.

Kerr didn't want to be Phil Jackson's marionette back then. A point guard of his caliber can always become a good coach.

New youth movement in Chicago, it seems. Caruso can probably go somewhere and contribute to a playoff contender. I sort of hope they trade Lavine, too. Healthy, he's solid but dude is injured too often.

Yeah, he's still got two years plus a player option for $49 mill left. No contender's going to wanna take that on for a guy who can't stay on the court. Though I would've said the same thing about Brad Beal and the dumbass Suns bailed us out of that albatross so who knows... anything's possible.

Say what you will about how incompetent the Wizards front office has been for 30+ years (and it would all be accurate) but they are damn good at getting rid of "untradeable" contracts that they foolishly signed.

Somebody has to take over the Udonis Haslem "role player that's been washed for 5 years but has become the franchise's mascot" role in the league.
That's grossly underselling Horford.

He's still able to contribute on any given night and started more often than not this postseason.

Plus, the greatest receipt in NBA history didn't happen 5 years ago:

Role players on the Suns are showing themselves the Exit. Eric Gordon and Drew Eubanks are declining their options and looking to go elsewhere.

Not that big of a deal, but not a good sign either.

Knicks just completed the Nova Knicks.

Knicks receive:

Mikal Bridges
2026 2nd-round pick

Nets receive:

Bojan Bogdanovic
unprotected 1st-round pick in 2025
unprotected 1st-round pick in 2027
unprotected 1st-round pick in 2029
unprotected 1st-round pick in 2031
unprotected pick swap in 2028
top-four protected 2025 1st-round pick via Bucks
2nd round pick in 2025

Expensive but probably worth it. The only trade I wanted.

Mikal is the 1st round pick Avenger. Dude has earned teams more than 10 from just two trades.

I really hope he comes home to Phoenix once he's a UFA.

Nuggets traded up to get a backup center.

Now to pretend I had any idea who he was before tonight.

And Suns got the Nuggets pick, with me doing the same thing.

Supposedly the guy is an elite defender which this team desperately needs, but I don't see a rookie making any kind of impact on a team this top heavy.

Sun ain’t doing nothing next year, cross your finger for injuries….. but nets got another 5 first rd pick and swap for mikal bridges .

And bronny lands with his dad … Celtic could have used their pick 54th to call lakers bluff
