People are just fucking stupid... especially in small close minded towns. For the most part, arcades have either gamers like us or poor kids. You might see the casual gaming business guy playing pacman or galaga once in a while, but that's it.
This can't be anymore annoying than a TV blaring with FOX News or ESPN in a public place to me. If anything, it is worse. I don't care for TV news and sports, so go figure. Still, how is it any different in that type of case?

Way to stay relevant, Marshfield, Mass. I wonder if they also vote to keep dragons and leprechauns illegal, because you have about the same amount of chance to see one of those in today's world as an arcade.
