I ran into the same troubles trying to buy the parts I needed.
Either they were not available in the USA,
or the min quantity was 200+

Its nice to know that if you only need a small quantity to finish some hobby project that sample requests are available.

Yeah I noticed that looking at the JST website.
I wouldn't have minded so much, but the shipping charges were a lot. I could have bought a giant bag of housings and pins for the price of 4 pre-made harnesses, but then it would have been over 30 bucks to ship it, and I'm not sure if that was the good shipping or the "cheap" stuff.
