These Are The Rules: Three Lives--Difficulty: Normal (The JP Default)--Extend: Type 2--And NO Continues.

Separate scoring tables if your port appears juiced. Emu. scores accepted.

And, yes, you may submit scores for Easy and Hard modes, just note that in your score.

Now go lets see if you can beat the Horai.

wow. Just when I thought I couldn't get people to play this, it finally comes up.

That's it. Time to rotate the BLAST.

Definitely in.

The difficulties completely change the game mechanics... do you mind if we submit easy / normal / hard scores (with arcade defaults) or is only normal mode allowed?

Nope, not at all.

Play whatever you like, just tag (note) the difficulty in the score.

It's there a huge difference between the various ports? I've played them all but I'm not hardcore enough to tell much of a difference.

Dreamcast port is fine, Gamecube is pretty much fine too (I think there are some really minor differences on GCN but not bad). XBLA has enough problems that most serious players consider it "broken."

Yeah, X-Box gets no love. :keke:

But I put it up anyways, just for fun.

I've got it on GC and 360 but I may have to play the GC version so I can use the PVM.

I just had a first look at this and I have no clue what extend 2 is due to everything being japanese. I had 0 Upgrades because I only could activate some Kind of bomb but omfg is this game awesome.
(I totally suck at it and didn't even finish lvl 1 without a continue but I love it)
Could someone hook me with some english Manual?

Extend is in the settings (on Naomi) and the default is set to 2.

---

The first menu is game Mode (aka Difficulty).

1. Easy Mode.
2. Normal Mode.
3. Hard Mode.

BerryTogart, good to see a newcomer.

Try to re-size your pics smaller, or wrap them in spoiler tags.

Also make it easier on the OP to update the scores and type it out, i.e.

BerryTogart - 701,720 - Stage 2 - Normal - (Dreamcast/NAOMI?)

Well guys, just to let you know i just put my tate cabinet "out of order".
My chassis needed some maintenance and i finally decided to give it a go. Let's see if a recap solves the problem and how fast i can gather the material (ordered today, will take forever to arrive...).

At least this seems like a good excuse to avoid my miserable Ikaruga scores :lolz:

PS- Forgot to mention that this was my firts time pulling a crt chassis out of a tube and i'm still alive, lolz.

Congrats on that. I've discharged a couple monitors but never disassembled. I know I have to learn some day, but I'm putting it off as long as possible lol.

Should you discharge a monitor when just rotating the tube? I haven't seen much info on when a discharge is appropriate.

I don't discharge to rotate. Just use common sense and don't touch the neck board / chassis while rotating it (or ever, unless it's properly discharged)

Basically you discharge monitors when you need to do maintenance that requires disassembly, like recapping the chassis.

Oh hey, I just figured out my old 27 inch sdtv will sit on its side. Gonna hook the Wii up to it and give the cube version a go.
